Well first off this goes to all the mods. Ones I found out what exactly it is feel free to change the title to a better fitting one...

Okay to make this clear Im not the fucking guy doing any of these drugs I only help. I dont do drugs! I did but stopped any I am cleen Its not us its him!

Okay now to my friend. He is almost 16 and started smoking cannabis with the age of 14. He is a very heavy experimenter. He use to smoke weed just like anyone else in a blunt but then he started like a year ago smoking it in water pipes and getting the full effect of everything. Once hes high he describes that he cant move is legs and everything turning around him and very few hallucinations also. He said once he though he was a whale. Yeah that how high he ´gets. He does that about once a week with his other friends.

Well sense I care about him I ask him if anything weird had happened lately because I know the long term effects of marijuana and that teens are 4 times as likely to get them than grownups.

Well back to the symptoms hes showing. I he said that a few days ago he was looking at the table and it started bending like a thin metal ruler does when you wend it.

Also he said that his hand got very heavy hand suddenly today and he wasn't able to move it for a few seconds, then everything returned to normal.

To tell you the truth at first I didn't want him to stop because I wanted to show him what I went though when I took a pain med before DXM (was high for 2 weeks, Now cant picture things as good or recall memoirs also have a snowy vision.) and got long term damages but then I desided that it wasn't a good thing to do.

What is happening to him? Or better what will happen if he doesn't stop?

I have to scare him with something so he has a reason to stop.

Sorry for grammar and spelling errors...

Dear Lars,
To be honest I've never even heard of such side effects. I've smoked all different kinds of ways, and smoked most different substances of thc (hash, hash oil, thc pills...etc) to me this doesn't even sound logical because out of all the times I've smoked I've never had any problem like this. It sort of sounds to me like your friend is playing the "too high" card.
However, on the rare case this is all true and he is actually experiencing what's going on, I would first figure out what all he is taking, these could be throwbacks to acid or even shrooms. Like any drug the way to stop is to slowly pullout, and though there is no physical withdrawals from cannabis, there still maybe a psychological withdrawal, slow him down on how much he consumes at first, just a hit or two will get you high, but it could be the concentration of how much he smokes at a single sitting. Then get him to stop over time. Hope this helps and best of luck to you an your friend.

he tells me everyting Im something like his watcher or his protecting hand. I can tell you fore sure he only drinks alcohol smokes weed and smokes tabako in a water pipe. He is 15 years old like I said its 4 times as likely to happen at young ages like his.... And yes all of this is true do you think I shitting you or soemthing? He has all these symptoms he woulnt lie, not to me...

So you think instead of jsut stopping for like 3 months with all weed he should taper down on it? I dont know is that really a good Idea? Sorry for questioning I jsut really want to be sure I dont want anything to happen!

if your friend is serious then he may have some psychological issues coming his way. I'd agree that he is playing the 'too high' card though.

If he's going to go crazy it's going to happen either way. Scare tactics won't make anyone stop IMO but if the time comes and he needs help you can be there. I remember in high school, the stoners would look like they shot a bunch of opiates, sitting there nodding out, more than likely from smoking a bowl or two lol. I think younger people have a tendency to exaggerate their high for whatever reason.

Seems to fit here, probably also better fit in unusual responses to cannabis.

This is about how much I smoked when I started at ~13. I didn't pick up to daily smoking until around 16. I barely can even remember getting high at that young of an age - I am sure cannabis played a role in this memory lapse. I do think it's a bit too young to start, especially if you are thinking he has underlying mental issues that cannabis underline. This can be the case with people who have 1) depressive symptoms, 2) underlying anxiety issues, 3) bipolar, 4) stereophonic symptoms, 5) Autistic or other mental illness symptoms etc.

Also remember cannabis is a drug, an a mild psychedelic, everyone has a chance to respond to it very differently. THough cannabis is so socially accepted, remember that it is still A DRUG and should be seen and treated as such.

Well sense I care about him I ask him if anything weird had happened lately because I know the long term effects of marijuana and that teens are 4 times as likely to get them than grownups.

Not to take away from anything you are saying, but where did you hear this? 4x more likely to develop what symptoms? Study? Link? I just have not heard this before.

Well back to the symptoms hes showing. I he said that a few days ago he was looking at the table and it started bending like a thin metal ruler does when you wend it.

This could actually just be from getting very fucking high. I've seen weirder reactions (people rolling on the ground giggling, gasping for air, full on panic attacks, throwing fits, emotional outbursts, and insane sentences). The hand getting heavy is a common side effect from poor blood flow, which essentially makes a limb feel "asleep" though it is usually paired with pins and needles type sensations.

I have to scare him with something so he has a reason to stop.

Whats happening to him? Sounds like it could be anything. He smoked a drug, then acted differently then he would sober. Maybe you should talk to him, and ask if he is having any sort of problem with cannabis that he can determine. I do not think scaring him away from the drug will work in any sense - generally this makes drug users (including me) more inclined to want to try it more. DXM is a heavy handed drug with serious side effects - generally for everyone - when taken in recreational doses. Cannabis is generally not. Why do you feel the need to compare two completely separate drugs? Maybe I'm not getting the full picture here.

Again, I would not try to "scare" him away from anything. Knowledge is power and I think that is the best route to take with him - educate him and remind him he is doing a drug, and for some people it can bring about a lot of underlying symptoms for mental illness that he may not even be aware he has.

None of us can tell you what will or will not happen if he quits or doesn't. YMMV, it's a drug.

when i first smoked in junior high i got very numb and like i couldn't walk on my own a few times.. every time i smoked back then i would have a great time feeling the high and talking about how amazing things were like feeling like an animal or seeing colors and stuff.. it will wear off is my prediction - once your friend really gets a tolerance to pot they will stop talking about the amazing things and just be a pot head i imagine.. not really a reason to scare anyone..

first let me say that i wouldnt necessarily recommend smoking once a week at age 15 although i definitely did it myself.

although, due to how new you and your friend are to smoking i'm pretty confident your friend is just smoking a decent amount of good weed and getting absolutely cooked. i remember once when i was 15 after taking a month long break for reasons involving my folks me and 2 of my friends smoked an 8th of some fucking mid grade and since my tolerance was so low i got so stoned i really couldn't move. i passed out pretty shortly after that haha.
tl;dr i was a n00b and was catatonic for a period of time after smoking herb. so i don't think its that odd for your friend to be acting funny after smoking.

like you and your friend i started at age 14 and it was all good for awhile but i would like to warn that my recreational habit has become a staple(crutch) in daily life for me the past couple of years and im turning 20 next month. i've been tapering my usage lately but its tough when your social life is so integrated with heavy stoners.

Yeah like I said, I would reduce the amount of pot your friend is consuming during a sitting, then see what happens, I guess these things could happen, if your friend is smoking TOO much at once, 1/8+ maybe? If he's 15 and already drinking and smoking, there have been studies to show that THC and Alchohol both can stunt brain growth before you completely mature, 26+ so I would definitely recommend you try to get your friend to stop drinking and smoking often, and use them as more celebratory drugs. Hope your friend gets it worked out and I'd love to hear what happens if you do get him to reduce the intake of THC per sitting and see if this helps.

So you think instead of jsut stopping for like 3 months with all weed he should taper down on it? I dont know is that really a good Idea? Sorry for questioning I jsut really want to be sure I dont want anything to happen!

You're body naturally tapers you off of thc. No need to try and taper off, other than maybe the argument of the actual habit itself and not any chemical addiction. But then that's like asking if you'd just cold turkey stop a nail biting habit, or if you'd just slowly cut back on chewing them.

As said it's too young. At 15 you're still a child and shouldn't be taking any psychoactive substances, whether they're addictive or not or cause psychosis/schizophrenia or not. Hopefully if cannabis is legalised it will start to be regulated and controlled and children like your friend will have a more difficulty getting hold of it, just in the same way as the situation with alcohol at the moment. It always disappoints me when I see children smoking weed.

No need to taper off weed lol, it's not heroin. Just stop and take a some melatonin the first few nights.

http://gorillavid.in/4807dqguujrh I love wathcing these things if anyone else likes it here is a link to more .... http://www.movie2k.to/tvshows-1132354-Drugs-Inc-.html

but the problem is he wasnet highwhen these things happend. What could happen if he doesnt stop and what else could you tell me about the hand?

Dxm has side effekts your right. And Im perfect prove it fries you brain if you do it the right way. Take a ib-profin before taking DXM and youll see what I mean. I dont smoke weed or do any drugs ever sinse that one period I was high for 4 weeks. 2 weeks was the alsting effekt from the mao-hemmer in the ib-pürofine and a nother 2 weeks from the side effkts after wards. I am not comparing them I jsut dont want him to feel anything like I felt ebcause it was so horrible. Im sure that you can do your self some harm weed.

I never really smoked weed I idd it about 3 times on my own to get the effkt and to understand but then never again. Its him... Hes not akting wiered and these things hardly happen its just the beginning of somthing horrible.

Sorry to say and I respekt that you have way way way more knowlege than I do but I dont agree with your statement "Knowlge is everything". There are things you shoulnt go through and things that arent ment to be gone though. A high is a state that doent really bring you anywhere. It doesnt answer questions onyl ones about itself and it doesnt really help recreational useres in any way. Now if is was pescribed to you from a docter against pain or a other sirous helth issue than it might do somehting but other wise "highs" dont really do you any good. What good does it do you to have been though a weed trip or a LSD trip. Yeah you can tell your friends you tripped ballz and saw amasing stuff but lets face it its not really good for anythingn else. Hight are really just stuff like cheats they make the game more fun but in the end effekt they rewin it.

Thank you for your reply I really do respekt everything you said and understand more now.

^that's not really true. Psychedelics are incredibly useful for me. They help me to gain perspective, insight, feel empathy, appreciate beauty. Similar with cannabis. You can abuse psychedelics/cannabis but still, the high can be very beneficial when used properly.

Knowledge is a key requirement for harm reduction. Nothing good will come from ignorance.

From the sounds of it, marijuana is not the only drug he uses.

Even so, if it is, the symptoms really don't sound that severe.
I might be mistaken, but it sounds like he just gets high.

And about everything 'moving' like a metal ruler, well, this is a very prominent side effect in benzodiazapines and other sedatives.(From my experiences, and from what Ive heard from others)

What makes you think your friend is being totally and completely honest about what he uses?
Anyways, I hope you figure things out , best of luck

I wish you the best of luck getting the message you want to get across to your friend.
But, if you can't help him, just take your sobriety, be happy for yourself.

I wonder what was in the weed. I mean he had a speical dealer that always gave him the so called "lucksus weed" He might have mixed somethin in it but I am to 100% postive he ntells me the truth about it... Hes not a lieer. Also I have noticed that allot of people who use drugs are very honest but that might not mean anything...

Jus good weed. Your friend is baked. "Also I have noticed that allot of people who use drugs are very honest"....really?

A. Your friend is young, and still very new to getting high. Hes honestly just really high. The harm caused to your brain and your body from dxm is nothing even comparable to cannabis because they work in completely different ways. And honestly he is probably playing it up to you because you dont smoke. And because you have even admitted you dont do drugs. The only problems cannabis can cause is irritation to the lungs, so long as your friend is mentally fine.

The fact that you are writing all this in concern to your friend makes it impossible for us to help you really.

I never really smoked weed I idd it about 3 times on my own to get the effkt and to understand but then never again. Its him... Hes not akting wiered and these things hardly happen its just the beginning of somthing horrible.

This is your very uninformed opinion, and it is proof that you have a biased negative opinion towards recreation drugs users. You admitted yourself you have practically no experience with drugs. You have no knowledge or experience to form this opinion, you have a tiny amount of experience with both dxm and cannabis. Yes i read how much you have done, and trust me, It NOTHING compared to what i see on this board and amongst the people i know.

There are a lot of responsible and informed recreation drug users who could disagree with you all day long, but this isnt the place.

The only reason your friends symptoms would be the beginning of something horrible is if he was developing a mental issue totally separate of his cannabis use. Then HE needs to be the one to seek help, not you.
