music for exercising

Honestly I like Hansel Und Gretyl's Uber Alles album. They're this really tongue in cheek faux german metal band from New York. It's a very catchy album.

Other than that, some Crystal Castles, a mix of old NIN tunes, some 80's Ministry, it really depends on how I'm feeling. Most often though I don't listen to music at all. I likepure silence to help mu focus on my routine.

Blind Melon -2 x 4
Blonde Redhead - 23
Fisherspooner - Emerge
Justice - D.A.N.C.E.
LCD Soundsystem - Daft Punk is Playing at My House
Daft Punk - Aerodynamite
Le Tigre - Deceptacon
M.I.A. - Bird Flu
The MGMT - Time to Pretend
Devo - Gut Feeling
ELO - Mr. Blue Sky
Mr. Bungle - Goodbye Sober Day
Peter Gabriel - Steam
Queen - Bicycle Race
Spoon - My Mathematical Mind

That's a sample of one of my Workout Playlists... I need more song suggestions people!

Superb musical taste! ;)

Depends on your mood really. I've had great workouts listening to Bach's Brandenburg Concertos, Chris Liberator live mixes, or Atari Teenage Riot.

Bumpizzle! :D

I've been rocking out whilst running to Groove Armada, Gorillaz, Foo Fighters, Calvin Harris and Arctic Monkeys of late. Wanting to spice it up a bit now, so I'll be scouring this thread for some new ideas.

Feel free to add your winning exercise artists and tracks! :)

^LoL i've been listening non-stop to nicki minaj too. new album though. I often spin to "Whip it" and "Pound the Alarm". For cool down "Bees in da trap" hahaha

Although my current fave would have to be this. 3 mins of spinning to this and I'm drenched in sweat.

lifting weights i don't listen to music, cardio ALWAYS brutal metal like cannibal corpse, devourement, deicide etc. and i don't normally listen to this shit it gets me going on cardio though, everything else i get bored as hell doing cardio. for cardio i like basketball and ultimate frisbee which are fun and don't require music but sometimes i end up doing the eliptical and need some headbanger shit to keep me going.

nyah, the colour and the shape is a great album for working out. DON'T WANNA BE YOUR MONKEYWRENNNNNCH etc etc, full of nice angry tunes./

i gotta hear some funky hiphop when doing weights or i lose my will. NYGz, MOP, Red & Meth, whatever has a good pace.

all i do for cardio is run and have a folder on my mp3 player JUST for Noisia and Upbeats that I always desperately scroll to when I'm about to give up because nothing else can give me a second wind when i'm just completely beat and want to give up.

For me, techno and country music works. Sad country songs make me think of my ex which makes me angry and hence I put more effort into my workout.
