music enhancement psycodelics vs empothegens...

I experience two completely different forms of music enhancement between these two. With empathogens everything just sounds lovely, so perfect for the moment, almost narrative. I personally prefer the music enhancement given by Psychedelics. You hear every little chord, every sound, you become the music, the music becomes you, and it can completely guide the experience, for better or worse. Music is sheer POWER on psychedelics. Best synergy on the planet if you ask me. It's just absolutely wonderful. I can't imagine doing either an empathogen or psychedelic without music.

This is how music enhancement and some times euphoria goes for me personally
Psychedelics > Dissociatives > Empathogens > Euphoric Stimulants > Marijuana

It's all good though =D I love music enhancement of any kind and it's one of my favorite effects that a substance can have

If were talking about full on music appreciation then empathogens win hands down but there is 1 exception and that's aMT. aMT is still a tryptamine psychedelic however it has sert releasing properties stronger than that of MDMA and I would take that over empathogens on any given day, its the best of both worlds.

Psychedelics > Marijuana > Empathogens (though I haven't done any empathogen in a looong time). Mushrooms, man. Listening, no, PLAYING music on mushrooms is sheer ... awesome. Drums and piano.

I would say that usually entactogens = entheogens (but with qualitatively different types of enhancement...music sounds fuller and more enveloping as a totality on entactogens, whereas psychedelics allow you to wander around in every little note and detail, the music presenting itself as if entirely novel too.

So my hierarchy would go (entactogens = entheogens) > (weed = stimulants) > opioids >= sobriety > (benzos = dissociatives). I find weed to present enhancement like psychedelics' but milder, while stimulants push me into engagement with the piece's driving energy and provide opulent feelings of frisson (entactogens present these aural qualities of stimulants to me as well). Opioids sometimes enhance mellow backdrops, but not really too prominently. Benzos and dissociatives distance me from the music (I find the affective and somatic components of listening important).

ebola

it really depends on the kind of music and what you want out of it. psytrance works with both (a bit better with psychedelics), techno is much better with empathogens. downtempo/dub/chillout obviously is only good for psychedelics.

(entactogens = entheogens) > (weed = stimulants) > opioids >= sobriety > (benzos = dissociatives)
agreed more or less. i'd just put the entheogens a little higher than entactogens and opioids lower than sobriety for more upbeat edm (but above weed/stimulants for dub. opioids and dub just are a perfect match).

In my my music trails with high dose of both lsd and 25b were crazyy jaming in the car listing to house music felt like i left my body 2 times,and the cevs go great with the music my opinon its alot stronger then any empothegon

Psychedelics possess a certain depth to them that empathogens lack.
Sure mdma feels very deep and emotionally connected when you're first introduced to it but imo after repeated use the high and the way it makes you feel is far too predictable.
I will always enjoy psychedelics over empathogens for enhancement of not just music but of all senses
