Mushrooms: Whole Vs Ground

I grind mine all the time. I cap em or i make chocolates. Kicks in way faster and harder as the stomache doesnt need as much time to digest it. I find it increases anxiety alot more tho and doesnt last as long.
 
If you worry about inefficient absorption with capsuled mushrooms just take them with acidic juices like OJ. That should compensate greatly for that.
Thinking about it like that, there are really no downsides left for capsules and only upsides for storage. So whats weird about it? Apart from the fact that it doesnt appear to be a mushroom I think its fine.
 
Crawling around on all fours like a ruminant & grazing contendly in a field on magic mushrooms is the way to do it - at least once - "normal people" may find this sort of behaviour confusing & can react in unexpected ways IME.
 
Don't do it by number of capsules.

Do it by weight. I find I can fit 1.5g of mushrooms powder in a toilet paper parachute.

Two of those 1.5g parachutes (3g) gets me where I want to be.
 
I've had plenty of experiences with shrooms and while I've never noticed that it being ground makes any difference with potency, make sure you have a scale. A good phrase to describe shake from shrooms is "There is more than meets the eye."

I personally can't take shrooms after taking Copelandia cyanescens. My first dose was a 2.5g stem/cap mix and the second was what I thought to be around another gram of shrooms, ended up being a 3.3g pinch of powder out of my bag and into my OJ. That ended up being a lot more than I needed and the trip was going south after eating them down anyway, but I'll save that story for a trip report.

My many encounters with shrooms let me find my preference in administration. I prefer grinding up my shrooms because the texture and taste of them. If I don't I'm left with an uneasy and sickly feeling in my stomach for the first hour or two. I prefer to eat my dose(usually powder mixed in with hummus or salsa) in around 15-20 minutes, weather it be a 1.5 or a quarter. It gives you time to make sure you aren't second guessing yourself and end giving yourself nasty anxiety after quickly eating your shrooms and subconsciously waiting for your come up. Not to disagree with anyone who thinks it is part of the experience of mushrooms, but I think when the mind is in such a vulnerable state, something as simple as an odd feeling in your stomach or a bad taste in your mouth can start a major freak out and ruin a potentially great experience.
 
I don't even weight my shrooms anymore lol. I prefer to eyeball them and I just shove em in my mouth mixed with Cheddar & Jalapeno chips (wich almost perfectly hides the shroom taste and texture.
 
Eating them raw and unboned causes a little more nausea. I prefer them dried, powdered and capsuled. I read one geezer arguing that "crucifying" the shrooms by drying them, freezing them and then "resurrecting" them in your body actually made them stronger.
