Hey, just wondering if anyone knows anything about the difference in tryptamine content (in terms of substance rather than quantity) between psilocybin mushroom and the sclerotia sold in Amsterdam (eg Sclerotia Atlantis). It's a bit hard to find information because many people say the chemical is exactly the same but the effects are different.
I understand there is a difference in the relative water weight and also the total percentage of alkaloids and the possibility of different rates of absorption because of different composition of the material. I'm just trying to work out if the differences people notice is because of slower absorption and not high enough doses (possibly through thinking comparable wet/dry weight should be consumed) or if there is a difference in the ratios of active alkaloids.
Does anyone know conclusively the answer? Have there been any reliable studies giving information one way or the other?
