Bluelight Crew
For my first time, i did 0.75g, and it was a moderate trip but somewhat underwhelming
For my second time, i did 1.2g and the peak was intense and amazing but was followed by feeling very scattered and down. During the peak i felt so stimulated and my head felt so 'swizzzz' i thought i might get a seizure or something
Dose: Decided to go in between and use 1.0g. This did turn out to be the perfect dose
Set: It's been well over a month (maybe two) since my second time. I was waiting for when it felt right, and it felt right today so 5 little magic fungi down the hatch. Ate immediately after jogging and came up in the shower
Setting: My home, alone for the most part
Chronometer
T+0 : 10pm ate shrooms
T+0.25h : Odd feelings, especially in my head
T+0.50h : Visuals and body buzz manifest
T+0.75h : Peak
T+2.0h : Plateau (plateau was quite weak)
T+4.0h : Came down. After-effects (mainly visual and body feelings) until I woke up the next morning
Visuals
After showering I went up to my room. For a (long) while I occupied myself with the carpet. The familiar aztec-type sharp geometric colorful patterns were embedded into the carpet. Interestingly, some of the patterns rotate in the carpet, but the colored patterns are still. After closing my eyes and opening them, the patterns are gone for a split second before returning.
The visual-spatial distortions (objects growing and shrinking, moving around, waving) were full-blown but these never interested me
While laying down with my eyes closed, I saw many scenes, all of them very difficult to describe. One of the common themes was checkered imagery. Both 3d and 2d scenes were often checkered in the same way. The most common color theme was red&green&blue. This is in contrast with my first trip (brown and green) and my second trip (pink and bright green)
It's fascinating to close your eyes, still see light and things, then cover your eyes completely with your arm or pillow to block out all the light, and there's still plenty of light. At times the visions were peaceful, at times chaotic
The imagery was deep and beautiful and interwoven with my thoughts. But it wasn't all just pretty pictures
Clarity
At one point while laying down with my eyes closed, I was thinking about my life, and society in general. Everything was clear. About a book's worth of information was flowing through my head. Everything that is important to me was vigorously analyzed, and I felt as if I was viewing things 'from above,' with a sort of super-mind
Peace
My heater and my AC were on at the same time for some reason. About 15 seconds after I predicted the fuse would blow, the fuse blew. So I had to take a trip to the basement to switch it back on. Getting off the bed was hard. I felt warm, safe, euphoric and peaceful just laying under my blanket, and moving was the last thing I wanted to do
After switching back the fuse, I saw my cat sitting on the couch in the basement. The next period of my trip was spent sitting with him. The only lighting was from a TV screen showing just blue--which made for an interesting tripping environment
When I closed my eyes, visuals and thoughts and combinations of the two were accelerating towards me chaotically, and when my eyes were open, everything was wavy and novel-looking. My mind was completely different from its normal state. All of reality was chaotic yet significant. I accepted the chaos and accepted everything being thrown at me and, ironically, felt totally and absurdly peaceful
I was floating on a sea of peace/contentment
Peak over, shows over, bye
Around this time the peak subsided. I still saw patterns in the carpet, and in some rooms they were crawling up the walls, and myself in the mirror--WTF. I also still felt the body buzz, which felt amazing. The visuals were milder than during the peak, though, and my mind was back to normal
For most of the plateau I was talking to my gf over MSN. When she went to bed I watched star trek and ate poppies, eagerly awaiting the mix of opiate body buzz with shroom body buzz. I missed the peak of the poppies, though, as I lost track of time commanding troops in battlefield 2...
When I went to bed ( 5 or 6, T+7 or T+8 ) I still felt stimulated, so I took 10mg zolpidem and the usual 6mg melatonin
Investment return
I took home personal benefits from this trip, as well as my first two trips, which I won't elaborate on as it's personal
In sum, each mushroom trip has left me in awe and put me in what I consider to be a 'higher' perspective of reality
The opinions and 'facts' 'normal folk' have about these mushrooms and what they do are so absurdly incorrect I believe it's more than just being people being misinformed. I think, below the surface at least, it's a continuation of the witch hunts of the medieval period. The persecution of witches and psychedelic drug users is driven by fear and religious intolerance
I can easily see how the state these mushrooms induce can be considered spiritual or 'magickal' by so many
An attempt at conveying some visuals
Psilocybin turned my carpet from blank to something like this (although the psilocybin induced carpet is much more intricate, intensely colored, geometric/sharp, and the visuals are 'alive' with color and energy shuffling about)
One of the 3D CEVs was quite like this in both this trip and my second trip
