I bought an eighth of shrooms about a month or two ago, and since my last mushroom trip ended in the ER, ive been putting off taking them, saving them for the ideal set and setting. They've been in a plastic bag stored in the back of my record player for the entire time, and I want to know how long I have till they go bad or lose potency. Everywhere I've looked on the Internet has given wildly varying answers, and I haven't seen any BL threads on this.

Thanks in advance.

i think its all about how much oxygen and sunlight/high temperatures get to them and how there stored so there's always different factors. glass jar or a glass container with a seal would be ideal ime.

you can store them in the freezer if there completely dry and in a proper container, that way will preserve them for years without degrading from what i read other members saying.

i have been grinding mine up and putting them in capsules within seal top glass containers with selica gel packets(oxygen absorbers) lately and mine have lasted atleast 3 months without degrading, i just recently ate some aswel to clarify that.

may i ask how you ended up in the ER last time? what was your dose? that made me curious.

A half oz. my heart was beating ridiculously fast, like faster than Any stimulant could, and the speed felt like it was going to explode, so to try to prevent that from happening, i ran down to the ER, just a block away. The doctor asked "how are you feeling? Why are you here" I said "I don't know" repeatedly for what felt like hours until she gave a horrified look and rushed me in. the only positive thing was that after I got IV Ativan, the trip was amazing, one of the most clear visuals I've ever got.

Are you sure your heart rate was heightened, or did it maybe "just" feel like it ?
I sometimes think my heart is runningtoo fast and when I check my pulse it is only 90 or so.
Perceptions are definetly altered, as you may well be aware.

About your mushrooms, were they dry or wet when you got them ?

If the'yre wet, you should be able to check by looking at/smelling them.
If they're dry the'yre probably still good.

I grow my own and when I harvest them, I dry them, grind them up like weed and put them in 1gram packages in alu-foil that go in my freezer. Hope this helps !

If they're dried properly and kept in a glass jar they'll last with no potency loss for at least 5 years. Probably 10 years or more, 5 years is as long as I've kept any.
