Mushrooms - First time! - not what I expected but in a good way!

Its not really the visuals that one would find scary. Its more the mind-frame the accompanies the visuals.

That is so true. But what I find scary is that sometimes you can have no control (or think you have no control) over the mindframe. I'm just lucky I had a good trip and didn't have to worry about all that.

Oh, and for a hardcore psychadelic critic, you can be sure I've crossed to the other side now; I SEE what you all mean now ;)

Peace love and mungbeans and all that shit!!! =D =D

Great report! Mushies are the only pyschedelic I bother with these days because I like being able to take a relatively low dose and enjoy a mild trip, rather than with acid where I get fucked for 8 hours straight and don't really like not being able to turn it off.

Yeah i understand it is hard to control the mindframe you are in on psychedelics.. But the act of control is the mechanism that makes it worse. The trick is to accept all the feelings thoughts and emotions you come accross and not try to label them as good or bad, but accept them as they are. After awhile you get over yourself and your thoughts start to order themselves again. The more you try to ignore and fight what you experience, the worse it gets.

The other thing about psychedelics is this : You gotta want to do them. You gotta be responsible for yourself and be prepared for the unexpected.

'Mushroom rape'....hahahahaha!

Seriously though, that report made me smile SLM. I could feel a great deal of empathy reading pretty much every sentence, especially your description of the 'comedown.'

Welcome to the happy mushroom club! One thing you'll find very quickly is that, although you can grow accustomed to the psilocybin experience, you'll have to pretty much abuse the drug for years to get anything like the 'loss of magic' that happens with MDMA.

Oh and good job taking a mild dose for your first trip. I won't lie; I find the higher doses to leave the low ones for dead. But you'll appreciate them a lot more if you work your way up, as Mean Girl said.
