shrooms - first time - max payne
the drug i mainly do is ecstasy. i do coke rarely, i smoke weed ocassionaly, and i drink regularly. i'm a sophmore from illinois. i did shrooms for the first time this past weekend and i just wanted to write down what i felt. i found it hard to explain even to myself, so ill try my best.
it was me and 3 friends. we were all doin it for the first time. it was about 2am. we were up in the attic of my friends house which is just a bunch of couches, a full kitchen against a wall, and an entertainment center. i went to the bathroom downstairs and came upstairs when i first felt it starting to hit me. i came up the stairs and saw my one friend jumpin around the room cuz it was hitting him too. i looked at a skylight window that was slightly tinted and the tint was peeling making a weird pattern on the window. I stared at the patern and it seemed like i was looking into a deep, dark forest. as it hit us harder i was seeing patterns in the walls of the room. not too extreme, just an enhancement of the rough paint job that it had. i felt very giddy, laughing at how ridiculous my friends looked.
as it hit us harder we went down to the abandoned basement that had at some point been boarded up in the middle. there was a cut in the wood on one side that was opened so that u can go in the other part of the basement. i went in the room that was closed off for many, many years and the ground was just dirt. the room was dark and looked very crazy, like from a scary movie. in the darkness i was making patterns out of the walls and ground. the mortar between the bricks ( i think thats what it called ) crumbled when scratched with my fingernail. everything began to seem very odd.
we went ouside for a walk and i felt like i was in a video game. everything seemed to be pre-rendered and there for a purpose. as i walked by the houses at 4 in the morning i thought about how inside there was families sleeping, waiting to get up at 7am to go to work and school, like clockwork. life seemed to be very pre-determined and fake. i felt as if i was seeing life from the outside. it was a mix between the truman/show and a video game. we saw some bright red and yellow roses that stood out in a front yard and they appeared to be opening slowly. i looked at the street signs and we had only gone 2 blocks, yet i felt as if time was flying by. we stopped to examine everything.. trees, sprinkler systems, flowers. i looked inside houses and it all looked soo fake. for example i would look through a window and see a living room, but i felt as if i went into the house the only thing there would be a living room/ the room next to it would just be empty because i would never see it and therfore it didnt need to have a purpose.
to keep things short ill just keep it at that. the rest of the night involved more intellectual thinking instead of exploring because it was cold.
anybody else feel like theyre in a videogame? where only what we see is there... like if we walked into buildings the inside would be empty because i wouldnt see it anyways, so why waste the time and make a kitchen for example. id say max payne might be the best video game i can think of that this experience seemed like
