This was about our 4th time expericancing mushrooms. My boyfriend had gotten them that afternoon, and came over to my house about 9:00 pm, after I got home from obligatory family visits. We had three baggies, each containing 1/8 of dried mushrooms. One for each of us, and my mom had wanted some too (she wasn’t doing them with us though, that would be too weird).
We had been searching for a good way to ingest for the past few times. This time, we put the shrooms in a coffee grinder, then mixed them in a bowl with vanilla yogurt and Rice Krispies. We cleaned up the dishes, then decided to go for a walk to look at the Christmas lights and wait for the shrooms to kick in.

10:20 – We walked around my neighborhood for about 20 minutes, the only thing happening was meeting a lady who had to be stoned or something. She was talking to us, telling how she ate too much honey.

10:30 – All the lights are getting brighter, and the car headlights are making me a little dizzy. I start laughing hysterically at everything, and b/f is telling me to be quiet or people will know we’re on something. I think he is way too uptight. We sit on someone’s front lawn and watch the clouds for a little bit.

11:00 – I want to walk to the grocery store, but he says we shouldn’t. I’m beginning to trip pretty hard about now, and get really spooked by one of those moving reindeer light decorations. We start walking to the grocery store anyway, but stop to discuss life on the side of someone’s fence. I’m saying how much we have in common because we have all the same kinds of organs and skin and everything. The grass is the coolest thing in the world. I keep grabbing it and looking at it, but it makes me dizzy. The trees are really scary too. I normally have scary trips for the first hour or so, but this one is so good and happy. I feel like I’m 10 years old and just having the time of my life, running around the neighborhood. We keep walking to the store.

11:30 – We enter the store. It’s bright, white, and filled with SCARY looking people. We walk down an aisle and can’t believe this place exists. I want to go look and the meat, so we head there. After staring at chicken legs for about 10 minutes, we chill out on the side of the shelf, talking. The employees are looking at us and whispering to each other. I decide that I want to go look at the produce, but on the way there, I start laughing and can’t stop. Boyfriend wants to get the hell out of there before I draw too much attention. Employees are following us. As we’re leaving, an old lady smiles at us. I freak out because she looked so sinister, but then wondered why she looked sinister, and started laughing even harder. Boyfriend takes my hand and escorts me out.

11:20 – As we’re walking back to my house, a cat walks up to us and starts rubbing up against my legs and meowing. In one instant, my trip was totally flipped around. I petted the cat, and could feel every bone in its body, it was so skinny. I was totally convinced it was dying. I sat down on the grass next to the sidewalk, with the cat in my lap, and cried for about 5 minutes. I felt so sorry for that poor stray cat, with no one to love it and feed it and pet it. Boyfriend suggests we keep walking, after seeing how much the cat upset me. I stood up, and the cat kept rubbing against me, all the time meowing and doing this little cough it had. The cough did it for me, and my boyfriend held me while I sobbed hysterically against his jacket for 10 minutes. We started walking, but the cat followed us. I decide I would not leave that poor cat out in the cold, so I walked slowly enough for it to keep up. It followed us all the way home, while we were pretty bummed out and feeling a major comedown.

12:00 – Got home and couldn’t figure out what to do with the cat. I couldn’t bring it in, because it might have diseases and infect my cat. We pondered deeply, and really wished we weren’t tripping so we could logically figure out what to do. We ended up doing things in this order:
1. Brought the cat food and water.
2. Brought it a blanket to sleep on.
3. Felt wrong for leaving it outside, and brought everything inside and locked it in my room.
4. Felt that wasn’t the right thing to do, so took everything back outside on the front porch.
5. Couldn’t listen to it meow at the door, so we took everything around to the back patio and closed the gate.

12:30 – For some reason, we were really tired. We got in bed and wrote things on index cards for a while. Then we fell asleep at about 1:00.

This was a really bizarre trip. For one, our trips have always lasted five hours or more. And it wasn’t really as intense as usual either, even though it was the same dosage. We were both fine the next day, usually we’re kind of tired and weirded out. This was a good thing though, since I had a job interview at 9:00 the next morning. A couple things I got out of the trip were that for one, I want to get another cat. I also am still trying to find the cat that followed us and take it in to be tested, so it can live with me and be healthy. Also never to go near large groups of people whilst tripping.

Good tripping everyone.

Good report.
Cats are amazing. especially when you're tripping and they start to follow you around. Ive had this happen on a couple occasions.

I dont know wat to tell u about the duration and strength of ur trip. Perhaps the shrooms were of a less potent strain ?

I read that the first time and thought you'd stolen someone's cat! I would have done exactly what you've done, only posted some kind of flyer in a community bulletin about a "found" cat. :)

Yeah, I forget to add that in the morning the cat was gone, but I've been driving around looking for it ever since.
