shrooms, Experienced, Nature Hike for Carnivorous Apes

Daymon, Daniel, and Deidre decided to go hiking on Mushrooms. This is something Daniel and Daymon do on a semi-regular basis(Every couple months), it was Deidre's first time on mushrooms(she is fairly experienced with other psychedelics). Deidre is the girlfriend of one of Daniel and Daymon's good friends and Daniel is married to one of Daymon's very best friends. The point is, the three of them are part of a close knit group who know, love and trust each other.

Daymon was a little anxious about taking mushrooms because of some problems in his professional life, he's probably gonna have a shitty couple months, and most of the problems are his fault, he made some poor choices.

Dosage: Daniel and Daymon each took 20 grams fresh(just picked) P.Cubenesis. Deidre took 12 grams of the same. Daniel and Daymon smoked a small amount of good pot, Daymon only smokes pot with mushrooms to ease the nausea on the come up, Daniel is a regular pot smoker.

The day was cold and windy, but the sky was clear and sunny. They hiked a short distance, maybe 1/2 mile before they began to feel the effects. They decided to hike off the trail to the top of a small ridge where they could trip in relative privacy away from the normals. About a 1/4mile off the trail, the top of the ridge afforded privacy, beautiful moss covered trees, rocks and an amazing view of the valley to the east and the ocean to the west.
They set up a base camp on the lee side of a large rock outcropping, spread out our blanket so they had a comfy place sheltered from the wind to crash.

The mushrooms came on strong, there was the typical 1 or 2 minutes of "uh oh, what did I do to myself" kind of feeling, then everybody got the giggles and they were stumbling around laughing, they wound up in a meadow on the slope not far from base camp. They lay in the tall grass for a long time(or maybe is was just a few minutes, time sense was gone) and let the sun play on their closed eye lids, everyone had fantastic 3d CEVs.

Daymon very quickly realized that his anxiety was misplaced, his professional problems were just "work" and the rest of his life was pretty damn ok, he has nice place to live, food, great friends and nothing that happens at work is really gonna touch that, sure he might have some rough days ahead of him, but he'll make it. This realization came to him as a serious of "Oh YEAH" kind of thoughts.

The wind had picked up and Deidre got very cold, it's impossible to tell now if it really was cold or if her perceptions were just messing with her. Daymon and Daniel were cool, but comfortable. The group walked back to the "base camp" and it's relative shelter. Daymon and Daniel cuddled close to Deidre under the blanket to warm her up. They did a few whippets each while cuddled up and all remarked on how the world turned instantly "Cartoonish" while the whippets were working.

The wind had died down, and the parties energy suddenly increased with the warmer temp. They had a great time walking around on top of the ridge, admiring the view and the cool patterns in the moss and bark, everyone remarked that they thought they had found a special place and that the earth welcomed their presence in this place.

The party then began to pretend they were a group of large carnivorous apes and began to climb the trees, strangely even though they were running around hollering and growling like beasts, each member of the party was careful not to damage the trees or even the moss on the trees as they climbed. From the tree, maybe 15 feet off the ground they could see people moving in the main area of the park below. They began discussing recipes for the preparation of human flesh and vowed when the ape people rose up to conquer the world they would eat the fallen. Daniel, who is a chef by profession, had some interesting ideas, and they all had to climb down because they were laughing so hard. Once on the ground again the party decided that people probably wouldn't taste very good and vowed to go out for pizza when they were able to drive again.

Daniel and Daymon climbed another tree, Deidre got confused and couldn't remember how to climb a tree, she was laughing at her predicament, and Daymon and Daniel were laughing with her. Then she made what, at the time, must have been one of the most profound statement ever made on the subject of tree climbing. She said, "first you have to find the door". This struck all of them as being absolute genius and everybody applauded Deidre and her superior intellect.

The party then went into the meadow and lay out a picnic lunch. Everybody was on the comedown end of the trip and enjoyed the food GREATLY. A young mother and her two small children came to play in the meadow. After a few jokes about how to serve them with the picnic, the party all agreed that it was really very beautiful to watch them play.

This led to a serious discussion of our carnivorous ape game and what it really meant. They all agreed that they didn't really want to eat people, they just wanted to be in touch with their inner wild side and reject the sterile nature of society for a short while. The other thing that they noticed watching the kids play was how much they missed being able to play like that. Without a word, the whole group jumped up and began to run and play in the meadow till they got tired. By then the trip was over and everybody felt great, they all went home showered and went to pizza.
