SUBSTANCE: Koh Samui/ Lipa Yai Mushrooms
DATE: February 30th, 2004
LOCATION: St.Pete Beach, Florida
TIME INJESTED: 2:30pm
DURATION: 4.5 hours
I'll cut right to the time we injested the mushrooms. My friend T and I (I was with a girl btw)...we sat in my car and both ate an 1/8th of a mix between Lipa Yai & Koh Samui Mushrooms. After the chow down, we collected our things and walked to find a place to sit at the beach, which was pretty crowded. The day was beautiful, it was a solid 78*F w/ a nice occasional breeze. We set up our towels and we put some old pillows down and layed down to wait for the effects to occur. I pulled out a nice ambient album and put my headphones on and began to meditate to ease my mind of my worries. After meditiating for about 10 minutes I layed down and looked at the clouds, and for some reason I started laughing hysterically...I knew it had began....
T started laughing when I did, both our laughs are contagious. As my eyes moved around to look at different things (the sky, the sand, people, grass, etc) I kept saying "yep, that's not normal" and then proceeded to laugh. Soon enough we were both tripping so hard. The euphoria was beyond anything I have ever known. We both kept saying how amazing we felt emotionally. We felt like we were "born again" and that this experience was a gift from some unknown presence we both felt watching us. We both felt that this trip was very spiritual, and we are both non-religious people. I decided to listen to some music on my head phones and what better CD to listen to that Infected Mushrooms "Classical Mushroom" album. The music tied the whole experience together, it became the rhythm of everything around me...all of my hallucinations moved to the music. T and I traded off on the headphones so we both could have our musical moments.
To kinda shorten things up for you readers I'll list some funny & intersting things that happened:
THE HOLE
- We saw a big hole that someone dug in the sand and we walked over to it and stared in it for maybe 10 minutes...we both figured out that it was quite possible that Osama Bin Laden could be in there, and we started laughing.
THE QUEST TO CUM
- For some reason I got horny and wanted to feel what an orgasm would feel like, and T said "go to the beach bathroom and find out, I wanna know!" so off I went...but unfortunately Daniel Jr. wasn't rising to the occasion...maybe that's because my mind got very side tracked because I was in a very very vibrant multi-colored tile bathroom stall that was just fucking w/ my vision...lol
NAKED TIME!!!
- Because I felt so "at one w/ everything" I really felt the urge to be truly at one with nature, I felt that I was denying myself of being completely primal, like this experience was. So I told T I was going to get naked, and she said "no!!! not at a public beach" and I said, "yes I am" so she just laughed and said "fuck, go ahead, I'll get a laugh and get to see some booty!"...but I wasn't THAT dumb so I wrapped a towel around me and took off my pants and underwear, and walked around the rest of the day w/ just a towel on.
THE BUSH
- Near us was this big ass bush that had really long leaves. I decided to go explore it. The leaves looked like snakes all moving through each other, it was so cool...so I decided to jump in the bush. I walked about 10 feet back, ran, and drove into the bush...I started laughing hysterically and so did T. I layed in the bush for a little while...
FOOTBALL
- We sat and watched this father and son throw a football back and forth and whenever they would throw the football our eyes would light up because we would see 5 footballs in a row...GREAT TRAILS!!!
KITES!!!
- We also sat and watched a family of 5 play with some kites, and because there was a nice breeze they flew very high and it was just amazing to watch them floating in the sky...they looked like alien space ships, it was kinda freaky.
PLANES & BOATS
- At one point I was laying down watching the horizon w/ the water and clouds, it was quite amazing...but then some speed boats came accross my view, and I can't describe it, but it felt like I was on the boat. The same thing happened when I saw a banner plane fly accross the sky, I felt as if I was in the plane.
THE CLOUDS
- One of the most magical things was laying down and watching the clouds. At one point I got so lost in the clouds, that they appeared to descend...but they sent down little strings of cloud to touch me, and all in the clouds were spiraling rainbows, and some of them turned into string like projections and tryed to touch me as well...Soooo fucking beautiful.
THE CITY OF SHELLS
- As I sat in a big pile of very colorful sea shells I kept staring at them and it looked as if I was looking down upon a massive city made of shells, I was so amazed it was like I was watching someone play Sim City...I dunno the "city of shells" looked so amazing.
SUNSET
- As the day & trip were coming to an end while the sun was setting. We both layed down, spooning each other (at this point I was feeling a little bit of psychedelic depression, and felt a tad bit anxious) and we watched the sun go down...the sun and sky was a brilliant mix of oranges, yellows, reds, pinks, and blue...as the sun hit the water it looked like the sun sprayed out orange colored octopus arms...it was so hypnotizing.
So we packed up our things and went back to the car. There was still some lingering effects, like some trails, but nothing major. I drove us to go get some dinner at a nice Italian resturant, and we had an amazing dinner, which she paid for, unexpectedly...and we are just friends, isn't that nice!?
There was one thing I left out...I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder which I have been taking SSRI's for since August 2003. Every single day for 1.3 Years I have felt anxious and tense...for 4.5 hours of ONE day I felt nothing but euphoria and pleasure, and I thank the mushroom gods for giving me such an amazing experience, and for not giving me any negative after effects w/ my anxiety.
