i made some mushy tea a week ago, i just simmered it, then put it in the firdge still in the pot and i didnt strain out the mushies. so its just been sitting there in the pot with a lid over it. i dont remember what color it was when i first made it, but now it has a dark green color to it, almost like algae. could it have gone bad or had shit grow in it since then, or is that normal?

yea but i didnt put any of that shit in it that the guy in taht thread did. just water and mushrooms

water + fungus appears to make water fungus.
yo shits alive.
but i doubt its anything bad seeing as theres not really anything to grow from but magic mushroom bits.

for future reference now you know that shroom tea is not meant to be stored, it is to be consumed on the day you make it.

while it is common for mushroom tea to have a blue or greenish color...

sega, stop saying that it couldn't be anything bad. there are millions of random bacterial, fungal, and yeast spores in the air we breathe. unless you make tea in a HEPA-clean room and use sterile procedures and bring it up to sterilization temperature, there could be any number of things growing in it.

one week in the fridge is probably fine though. the typical signs of problems are pretty obvious like the other thread-- wine/vinegar smell, carbonation, slime or fuzz on the surface are all bad bad bad.
