conscious11: follow headdah's lead, as, he is in your area. They're open and inviting events but, they are rarely advertised to the mainstream public to keep the right people in the know and the wrong people in the clubs.

No more doof discussion in the mushroom thread or I will have to start start removing posts :)

I'll get my camera out into my bush patches this week and post up some pics. I will also try to get some garden bed pics up but, it can be hard to access them in good light, without being noticed and I also doubt that I will be able to beat my awesome tan bark pics of last year. See how we go ;)

@ PsiloSubNaut - awhile ago you replied to my comment about a patch i found in a mulsh/woodchipped area. I did not get around to doing a spore sample but after alot of rain yesterday/last night i went to visit the patch and found someone had beat me to it as there were small craters where they would have been dug out. Such a bummer i did not pick them when i did. I just hope it keeps raining as the weather forecast has intended. Maybe next time as i am really keen to do them for insight and possibly a glowing experience :(

^that is such a cock when people blattenly destroy beautiful things, you should buy some clean mulch and lay it over the worst bits to encourage more growth and health. Not sure how public your patch is, could be a bit suspect!!!

Sorry to hear that fieldy, most people are just uninformed and not purposely fucking up patches. Go for a walk around and you're bound to find another patch. They're one of the most prolific mushrooms this time of the year, as, the subs tend to get thicker when winter kicks in and the early autumn species tend to dye off.

I once thought someone was raping a garden bed patch of mine. I later scoped it out, only to find that birds were ripping the subs out to get at the bugs living around the mycelium at the base of each mushroom hahaha

Anyone been able to find them in brissy? Preferably northside?

Unfortunately it's the wrong time of year for Qld psychedelic fungi. Try looking at the information on the first page of the thread. Research Cubes/Cyans and get ready for the Qld rainy season toward the end of this year and over the start of next year.

We're currently posting about a southern Australian species (Psilocybe subaeruginosa) which fruits in winter throughout Tas, Vic, SA, ACT, southern NSW and a small part of southern WA. They do not grow in your area but, other species do in summer.

All the best :)

Psilo: Birds ah, well I guess the mycelium has survived that sort of natural rapage for a while now, so as long as there is more substrate added to the patch every year, the little fellas should keep popping up.

Due to the consistent rains / not too cold temps I'm still finding a few subs around north of Bris.

^I was under the impression that subcubes didn't grow here. But apparently they do (Stamets, 1996). Not sure of the common name????

OK, so I just did my last 4.17g. Not sure how much was left in my system from Sat night but I'm either going to have some tolerance which will mean the dose will work out smaller OR....I'm in for one wild ride. Will let you all know.

Finally the season has kicked off (north-central vic). Found 3 different spots all within 5km of my house. Picked, dried, and capped a fair amount :)

Just a quick pic
