Dude, the subject matter is enough to make me paranoid, and I understand the trust issue. Look at it from my side, I am a family man, asking strangers to take me on a field trip (with my 7yr old son and partner) and teach us....Do you understand what type of inhibitions I have to let go of to ask help of complete and utter strangers OVER THE NET?

Nah, good finds. As you can tell, I am very very keen to be taught by someone in the know, so would you be at all interested in taking me out for a field lesson?

I also read that when you dry the mushies, you lose the Psilocin. Due to its instability it does not survive the drying process and only Psilocybin is left in the mushroom. Theres my tip for the day. So, I hear preserving in honey is the best method to preserve fresh AND it helps cover the supposedly nasty taste they contain.

I have read that if you keep the heat under 40 degrees when drying both psilocybin and psilocin stay fairly stable, I use a food dehydrator from myer. I have dried and stored all my mushies in that pot of honey in the pic, both cubies and subies, Iguess there is only one way to find out!!!

I would be happy to take you out. A little bit weary, and will loose all faith in the human race of I do meet ya and you're not who you say you are!!!! I'll have a good hard long think about it and let ya know.

Haha, Well would it help if my partner and son came along? My partner is very keen and my son (7yrs old) loves the idea of trekking through the bush on a good old mushroom hunt.

found another pair of scissors today, left them where they will be seen again, nice to see ppl doing the right thing.

another 25 post will be easy, this forum is full of interesting topics, so browse everything and you could rack them up pretty quick without just 'litter-posting' for numbers.

and on the honey shrooms, dont put wet shrooms in honey, from what iv read on the shroomery.com , they're prone to rot/mould becaue they still have moisture in them, the honey just surrounds it, where as dry shrooms absorb the honey.

OK, I will have to double check that. A member here mentioned that you dump them in fresh.

I found it very very interesting that the chemical compounds Psilocin and Psilocybin all have the DMT compound in them too. I actually didn't fully know this until I was reading about drying them.

After I discovered this I realised why I am trying desperately to find them. It contains the spirit molecule.

i can say i havent noticed any potency drop, or trip difference with dried or fresh. i just dry mine asap.
they taste better dried, but if you still dont like the taste, make a tea.

find your dose [2~3grams dry], squeeze 1/4 of a lemon in, 2 tea bags [2 masks the taste pretty well] water and stir, let sit for 10min stir and another 5min. add milk if you want, i do, and you can choose to strain the mushrooms or eat them.

I wonder if the boiling water might also kill the psilocin....Conscious11 mentioned you need to dry them under 40 deg C to maintain the stability of the compound...But tea is generally made with boiling water...Hmmm....Any more experienced heads got any thoughts on this?
