be sure before you chuck them, libs appear very different depending on ground conditions, humidity, age of the cap etc....

Out again this morning for an hour and picked a shed load of lovely Liberty Caps - whoop! Reckon I must have got between 600-800 beauties. So many that I was only bothering to bend down and pick when there was a patch of 10 or more. Left all the solitary shrooms and patches of just 5 or so. Also made sure I always left a couple out of a big patch for my return later this week. Happy days

Mushroom Valhalla !New Forest, South Coast - collecting some wood for a bonfire, and found about 100+ liberty caps in less than 10 minutes at a reliable place.
Heading back early tomorrow morning for a couple of hours to stock up for winter

Let me know if you find any mate, I reckon I'll be looking about too hopefully there are plenty about I'd really like to get a good tea on the go at least once this season.

will do man. im not very well at the min so i may have to wait for about a week. yeah i fucking love mushi tea too! i found it a lot more peaceful than acid. i went picking in early september and got hundreds then i kept trying similar locations and found nothing at all so i thought the season was over. i hope i was wrong!

Yup. I've seen this happen before..... Libs reappearing much later in the season. A few years ago I even found a few strageling libs in December!

Out again this morning and that's me done for year. There has been some truly splendid pickings this week, though no doubt the frosts are on there way which will be the end of the Liberty caop of 2011.
