Hi!

I am now 2 weeks clean, and was wondering if anybody else have experience with this set of symptoms. It started after binging one night 4 weeks ago (alcohol and coke), where I woke up feeling kind of different. Abnormally intense blue shade under my eyes, accompanied of a weird feeling in my body, which I now have identified as a kind of musle twitching or shaking throughout the body. It is not visible to others, except when I conract a muscle for an extended period of time, or and it is more noticable when in resting state as opposed to when im moving or doing something (so called "resting tremors"?). As stated, I am now two weeks clean, and have never been what some people would call a very heavy user. I have used cocaine exclusively 1-2 times a week during weekends, approximately a gram a night. This has been going on for the past 5-6 months, and i have very limited experience with other drugs except alcohol. Never smoke weed either.

Came clean to my doctor last week. Heart is fine, no bodily infections, blood samples shows everything is normal. Doctor meant this is some sort of withdrawal, although i thought cocaine withdrawal was mostly free from physical symptoms. She also said she was confident the shakes/trembles/ twitches would go away within a few months. I have also read some independent research stating that a lot of former cocaine users get the trembles, but nothing about how to remedy the situation, or a time perspective on healing. I am no prepared to never touch the drug again, so I guess I am reaching out to others who might have had similiar experiences quitting cocaine, or have know-how on the topic. Will my body remedy itself over time, and what steps can i take to improve my prospects of quick healing. I am very grateful for all input. Cheers brothers.

I've experienced muscle twitching/contractions after cocaine use, it lasted for several months and got me very anxious (thought the coce could have caused some serious muscle disease). You'll be fine, it will just take a while, make sure you don't google your symptons too much because that might freak you out while that is totally unnecessary.

My guess is that you may have depleted you dopamine reserves or your brain adjusted to having the coke on board and will need to adjust back a little. I would look into getting some Tyrosine or Phenylalanine. I would also partake in 30 mins or aerobic exercise four times a week. I think there is a really good chance that after even one session of exercise this will disappear.
