I've found that for me eating a whole lot before you smoke can reduce the urge to stuff your face. Though you may still get the munch, you'll most likely not be able to eat so much since your stomach is already full.
I dont know if this is right or not, but I believe THC slows the signalling between your stomach and your brain from telling each other when to stop when you're full.. So you tend to over eat when munched-the-fuck-out.. I do it all the time, meaning I have to food shop more often cause of my stoner habits.. And food aint cheap, unfortunately.
"Heavy foods" like breads and dairy should help against the "bottomless pit" feeling
