Hey all - I really need some help here with the medicines I have. I've been just battling with this MS stuff, esp being tired all the time, not being able to relax. The drugs that were prescribed to me are:

Gabapentin 300mg
Estazolam 2mg
Tramadol 50mg
Zoloft 100mg
Promethazine (phenregen) 25mg
Balcofen 10mg

Now I don't take these everyday. Mainly the zoloft I do, and the gabapentin, along with some Motrin. I take tramadol when I really start hurting, which I just ran out of them actually. I just need advice if I need to increase the doses of these, or maybe find a new medicine my doctor can let me try. My nights and days have been so mixed up lately, and I hurt most of the time. My muscles are so tense all the time, and I just want to relax. I've never tried alcohol nor illegal drugs as well, which is a good thing in my opinion. I only come here because I know you know more about different drugs than any other site I've looked at. Any help - thank you.

You have to take the zoloft every single day, it's an ssri and you won't build tolerance to it. 10mg baclofen per day ? People usually take 30+ mg per day for ms.
It seems that you also have fibromyalgia. You may wanna try hydroxyzine, it's an antihistamine just like promethazine, but it has some anxiolytic (anti anxiety) effects so it may be helpful. Other drugs that really relax your muscles are casiprodol aka soma aka lagaflex and orphenadrine. I can almost guarantee the casiprodol will work.

Carisoprodol (soma).

The Zoloft you need to take every day. The other drugs should work when taken as needed UNLESS you have been taking them with enough regularity to become physically dependent on them/suffer rebound effects on the days you don't take them. Could this be why you have been feeling up and down lately?

If this turns out to be the case you need to weigh up the pros and the cons of the medicine in question and decide to either keep taking the drug daily or stop taking it entirely.

Gabapentin, tramadol, estazolam and baclofen are all known to be candidates for dependency.

Good luck!

It is not surprizing that your symptoms are that bad, none of the drugs you were given except baclofen actually treats MS. Gabapentin helps with the pain but doesnt treat MS. Wheres the immuno drugs?? I don't want to speculate further, these drugs are euphoric and don't treat MS, no doctor could have prescribed them for MS.

To be honest the first time I saw this I thought it was some drug abuser randomly quoting a disease to justify his/her use. You need to change your doctor this treatment is abyssimal in my opinion.
