I have been browsing this board for many many years, but never made an account because i dont think it's a good idea. But now I am forced. I know I look like a noob with my first post...but like I said, I've been here a while.

So SWIM took some methamphetamines. Swim has done meth about 10 times in his life. So SWIM takes around .3 or so of meth last night...he is sitting there chlling on the computer, everythings good. swim has to take a piss, so swim get up and goes to the bathroom, starts pissing into the water directly, and realize theres almost no sound. This hit swim like a tsunami. swim had about 10% of swims hearing. swims hearing was incredibly muffled. when he flushed the toilet (and this is a loud toilet if I may add) it sounded no louder than if he were to have dropped a pencil. bad example, I know. The point is he only had about 10% of his hearing. Both ears. This has never happened to him before, ever. Determined not to panic while being on the substance, swim calmly walked out of the bathroom like nothing had happened, and tried really hard to pop his ears. No pop happened, but by the time he made it back to his room and sat down(a minute or 2 later) his hearing was back. What in the world could cause such a thing? if more info is needed swim will be happy to provide it. thanks in advance.

no it is not ear wax. I clean my ears religiously. But why am i even responding to you if you didnt read my post.

Please, Swim is googling and getting super nervous. Right now swims hearing is at 100%, and it was only gone for literally 2 minutes. What could cause this? Could swims meth have been contaminated?

Please, Swim is googling and getting super nervous. Right now swims hearing is at 100%, and it was only gone for literally 2 minutes. What could cause this? this has never happened before...and there was a time in the army, when swim was using dirty earplugs and my ears started hurting and my hearing was slightly worse. maybe 10-15 % worse. swim went to the army doctor and they removed like a gram of earwax from each ear. However that experience was nothing compared to this one as it was a slow buildup over a few months. This was a 90% hearing loss for a few minutes. Please, swim knows there are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful people on this board. swim will not go to sleep until there are more answers. Please help swim.

A) We don't use "swim" here.
B) If the problem has gone, you're just tweaking, so put some porn on and relax until somebody else comes up with something helpful. Why are you stressing over something that's already passed? You've been posting every 3 minutes, you're not going to get a response that fast.

My hypothesis (and it is pure conjecture) is that you had a variant of a "bellringer" - I can't hear anything when I IV cocaine/speedball, so I'm guessing the rush affected your hearing in a similar way.

Thats very welcoming to hear(no pun intended). My concern is that it has never happened before, and googling quickly leads one down nerve wrecking paths.

If you had really been browsing this board for many years, you'd know we have always been anti-SWIM. ;)

Get some sleep, auditory changes are pretty common for reckless use. Then make an appointment with a healthcare professional if it persists.

You have been browsing these boards for years, and you know you will look like a noob?

Dude you looked like such a noob, it was embarrassing. The amount of times you said SWIM I was starting to think it was on purpose. Man you HAVE NOT BEEN HERE FOR MANY YEARS.

I sometimes get blocked ears from opiates, different to stims I know, but it usually happens in one ear and is similiar to the type you get when you go to the pools. It usually goes away when I clench my ears and throat, if that makes sense. Also, don't take google as literal medical advice, nor this forum...

Auditory changes are common when taking stims. You didn't go completely deaf for 2 minutes right ? You had muffled hearing? Its a version of "bell ringing" one hears when on stims. I'd rather that over bell ringing any day. But since it was the past - no need to get all worked up. Google stimulant and hearing and you'll find very relative posts on the Ritalin boards

i take a relatively heavy amp dose and am uber experienced with them. your problem is quite simple. clenching down with a tight tweaker jaw and an elevated heart rate/blood pressure is what causes the ringing in your ears - not a single iota of doubt in my mind...happens to me almost every time i dose amphets.

when i do opiates i get a wooshing in my ears and sometimes on cid too. i think its the blood vessels in the ears but im not sure. ive always thought it weird, like when you put your hands over your ears, but it always goes away so its all good.
