Misc Mucinex D question

Say some guy or gal wanted to extract the 60 mg of pseudoephedrine out of a Mucinex D pill, could he or she simply cut it in half leaving all of the other junk in it out or would this be considerably more difficult, or can it even be done reasonably?
 
He or she forgot to mention that boxes were increasing difficult to come by in the area, and he/she just might have a decent supply of Mucinex, but refuses to use the guaifenesin in his or her prideful work.
 
Check solubility limits of both ingredients and see if you can just use a water soln. with different temps. to isolate it. And I wouldn't suggest just cutting it in half. They're just to many unseen variables.

Since pseudeoephedrine isn't recreational at all, we have to assume that YOU want to make meth and we aren't here to help you do that. Please review the guidelines and posting standards again before starting any new threads and let me know if you have any questions.
