I have watched every episode of The Contender series and am absolutely in love with it.

It easily is better than any of the boxing ones.

I think what has really stunned me more than anything else is the unbelievable respect that you gain for these guys and the type of people they are.

Really high quality human beings.

John Wayne Parr is an amazing human being..........the guy just has such a phenomenal outlook on life.


I hope that the contender series helps to show the world just what a great sport this is.


Anyone else a Muay Thai fan?
 
Really, you trained in it? Thats magic.

I think im getting a bit old for Muay Thai but i was thinking of one of the less physical arts.

From a spectator point of view MT just kicks boxings ass big time. In fact its better than UFC as well.


If anyone saw JWP last night, he was spectacular.
 
I did it for 1.5 years. It's extremely intense, fitness and "combat" wise. You really do learn (at my training school anyway) how to fuck people up if you need too.

When i finished, its the fittest i'd ever been. Even if you aren't interested in the martial art aspect of it, it'll get you damn fit, i can guarantee that.

And you'll be able to do elbow combo's on someones face if they give you shit, added bonus!

Perhaps I can settle with they are "well trained and fit individuals with a strong goal focus"

Ohh OK...........yeah I was prolly pissed at the time i posted that and over stated it but nah if you watch the show it becomes pretty obvious that these are really high quality human beings..............lol.

OK well it gives the impression they are anyways.

Dammit..............your right mate and I realise I got sucked in by one of my own rules....never beleive it unless you see it for yourself.

NOT "moo thai"

Moo Thai = Thai Pig.

Yes, Moo means Pig even though cows say Moo.
 
So your definition of a really high quality person is this particular man in a television show?
