Mu affinity regarding heroin and kratom

I am a big fan of Kratom, and have been a kratom user for a couple years, especially the UEI, . The past few days I've started the day off with a couple grams of UEI, along with about 40mg methylphenidate insufflated to help potentiate the opioid properties. Now this puts me into the clouds, as I nod in and out for about an hour, and am focused with a buzz for half the day. But I have tried finishing the night off with some big h, and the weirdest thing is I don't get the slightest effects. What is going on? It's not bunk stuff, as my neighbor--an ex 2-year addict--gets messed up on it. Has the UEI ruined my tolerance that bad? Or does the kratom really have that high of a mu affinity? Because that wouldn't make much sense as I believe it is only a partial mu agonist--whereas one of the mods says it's a full.

I'm at a loss...any insight would be great, cause I don't want to keep throwing bills down the toilet.

Edit: I also thought maybe that since the methylphenidate is a vaso constricter, not much h is getting into the blood stream through the mucous membranes, as I insufflate it.

i was in a similar position to yourself for a while, taking kratom to get me out of bed and into work, then using H once i got home into the evening. due to my tolerance from the H, like you, i was mostly dosing UEI and enhanced bali products. it's hard to say exactly if the kratom was responsible because a few other things were happening here concurrently: the quality of dope was getting really low and my tolerance was of course going up, but i did observe the exact same thing after maybe 6 months of using the kratom and H together. in fact, continued use of kratom beyond that point began to cause anhedonia and severe depression! i got off that stuff quick (ironically having just totally kicked H onto the kratom) i jumped back on H for 4 days to let the kratom clear and then did a quick sub taper from there. i guess what i'm trying to say in a very long winded way is that it's not so simple to just think, oh, two mu agonists, H and kratom, they must potentiate... not necessarily true... doing a lot of high potency kratom can definitely fuzz out the euphoria from dope, and it may be a sign that the kratom is starting to have negative side effects.

edit: why? kratom is a plant, not a pharmaceutical preparation. it contains many centrally active alkaloids, some not particularly well studied, that have a host of actions beyond simple mu agonism: mu antagonism, alpha-adrenergic activity, maybe even activity in the serotonin and dopamine systems, a lot of it dependent on how much material you're consuming. there's a lot that can potentially go on. i've read about a lot of people who have used kratom regularly for years with no ill effects but there's definitely the potential for this stuff to scramble your brain a little.

UEI spikes the hell out of tolerance. Kratom extracts are extremely potent drugs. Kratom plain leaf seems to have different effects on tolerance: co-administration of morphine and mitragynine showed lack of tolerance buildup. There doesn't seem to be the same mechanism with extracts. Caveat emptor.
