MS/Fentanyl patches

My opiate relationship has been occasional at best. Assuming I could aquire one patch, how much would be too much for an opiate neophyte? How would you recommending consuming the patch, wear it, slice it open and swallow the jelly?
 
First off, what milligram patches are they? I have a few 7.5mg patches, and I have been smoking them. I simply poked a hole in it with a safety pin, and squeeze BB size dots of gel out on foil(or a lightbulb) at a time. While this isn't the safest method, it is still relatively safe as long as you are careful with redosing. I have not tried eating the gel yet, and as I understand this can be quite variable. I might be a good idea to try wearing it first, but tried this and it made me sick. I am not an opiate newbie but I have virtually no tolerance, and I can safely and effectively smoke the gel. It's up to you. Just be careful because, as many people have said before, there is a fine line between just enough and way too much. Peace.
 
xxanxx, Duragesic (fentanyl) patches are rated by the amount of drug released per hour, and are measured in ULTRAGRAMS (not milligrams), and last up to three days. Fentanyl itself is an expremely powerful, but very short acting, synthetic narcotic. Using fentanyl in a patch means you can deliver a fairly standard dose over a long period, and fentanyl's extreme strength means the pacth itself is not a bulky or unwieldy size. It might be fine for you xxanxx, but a BB-sized amount of fentanyl gel would very likely knock an opioid-naive person on his ass. DJ, I'd start with "pinhead" size and titrate as needed. Effects of each dose should wear off within the hour, but may leave you feeling "floaty" or a little "removed" even though you're not high. BE CAREFUL: THIS IS INCREDIBLY POWERFUL STUFF. If your post implies a question about morphine patches, I'm unaware of their existence.

LOL at ultragrams.. that sounds like something a dealer would say.. " hey man, instead of 3 grams for 120 I'll sell you 3 ultragrams for 170"

I agree, it DOES sound like superfly hipster dealer talk. I think the move to use "ultragram" is because of the similarity of "mcg" and "mg", and phramaceutical comapnies, M.D.s and pahrmacists are ao liability conscious.
 
Opioid neophyte = 75ug patch WORN ON ARM.. if you dont get high after about 7 hours then you can play with "other methods" of ingesting the gel..
