MS Contin Question...

I was recently given some 15 mg little dark blue MS contain pills (abg and 15 written on them),

anyways, I have never taken anything like this other than oxycodone/hydrocodone...

I was wanting to try them (but I don't inject or sniff)(and yes, I understand the bioavailability is higher like this),

but I was curious if I just crushed them up and swallowed them, what would be a safe amount?

my oxy tolerance for a nice calm buzz is around 40 mg I'd say...

And I think I did read somewhere that the bioav. orally is around 10%?

In my experience, MS contin is not a very good high unless you are an addict trying to stave off withdrawl. I used to take 2 40 mg MS contin pills when I didn't have anything better. It made me feel tired/not that high, but not without anything and I certainly avoided withdrawl. BUT, I AM NOT A DOCTOR AND THIS IS NOT SOUND ADVICE, NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT.

helpjdplease ^no offense intended but you're better off refraining from answering with such subjective answers as that in the future subjective talk is alright under some circumstances but doling out advice on opioid dosing with no distinct relation to the information the OP has given it means sweet fuck all. someone passing through could come along and take that as word by mistake.

saying that, to the OP, first the oral BA of morphine in roughly 30%. oxycodones (analgesic) oral BA is roughly 1.5x that of morphine. the (safe) way to dose them would be titrating one at a time till you reach the point of comfort.

some people compare oxy and morphine as apples and oranges. i like them both recreationally but prefer the warm, lethargic euphoria of morphine.
