Moving to Australia

I'm from Melbourne but Perth is a beautiful and relaxing city. It's very pretty and if you like beaches, you're definitely in luck.

People from Perth are generally very friendly, more so than from many other Australian states, in my opinion.

Perth is would probably be my preferred state to move to (if I had no other factors in life to consider, which of course I do!). It is isolated from most other states, but if you're career is there, you don't have friends or family to consider, then Perth is a gorgeous option.

Nightlife may not be the best, but Perth has its own charm and the warm weather (which I love) basically doesn't stop. Take up surfing or something.

You should have a great time in Perth, it has a very homely atmosphere.

Thanks a lot for the info, sounds like a pleasant place to live.

I'll be sure to watch out for the drop bears. ;)

I've been here for a few weeks now, and so far it's been great. Amazing weather, beautiful beaches, relaxed and friendly people, and just enough places to go out.

Glad you like it :) Have you been out to Northbridge yet? Have you come across our infamous Dropbear's? haha :P

Ahhh welcome you'll be one of us in no time.

The weather has been pretty sweet recently. Lack of sea breeze makes for awesome beach going. I reckon autumn is really the best time for the coast here.

Make sure to get your fremantle onn also.

Perth is good. Western Australia is awesome. :)

If you're in the city, the transport is pretty good and there's a huge wine area (the Swan Valley) in the city area.

They have had something like 0.2mm of rain over there in the last 90 days or so. I was just in Europe for the winter you had... after that, you'll LOVE the weather.

Western Australia is fucking sweet if you like the outdoors. Head south to the wine area at the bottom of the state, or if you're feeling more adventurous, head north to Monkey Mia and further still to Ningaloo Reef (imho the best part of Australia).

There's so much to enjoy in the state by yourself that after WA everywhere else will feel cramped... even the rest of Australia.

Yeah I've been out in Northbridge, Freemantle, Subiaco, and the City. Showtek at Rise was a good night.

I'm exploring Western Australia for the first time this weekend, not quite adventurous enough for an 11 hour drive yet though so we'll probably head South.

0.2mm of rain in 90 days? I think that changed slightly this week!!
