movies NOT to watch when coming down / scattered

sorry muzby, but this is a film and tv thread (and i'm not just saying that 'cause i love moving or closing your threads man, i swear ;):D) - we try to keep aus. social for region-specific tv or movie postings...so, off it goes :)

Well, not a movie but a specific episode of a TV show. Once i was coming off of some acid and i watched the last episode of Rosanne and i spent the next three hours crying and then depressed for the next month over it.

I tend to stay away from TV/movies for days after tripping or rolling usually. It loses it's appeal.

The Shining. I watched it on a terrible Tuesday once. I had never seen it before and damn me if it didn't screw me over.

Requiem for a dream - I watched a bit of it just as a k comedown started right before going out. Fucked me over so hardcore that I haven't been friends with half the people I met that night since. Still, it's a good movie.

One time when I was on acid someone put in "Resevoir Dogs." The scene where one man has another guy (a cop? - besides the lsd time i haven't seen this movie for years) tied up and is torturing him was *really* terrifying.

The Ring: The movie is too damn long. You sit it out for 2 1/2 hours or so just for the ending and by the end of it you're buggered even more

The ring (remake) is 110 minutes.
the original was even shorter

Scary, complicated, feaky, etc movies work best when i'm vulnerable. If I can get into a movie during the day after, I can get into anything.
Sometimes, I'm far too easily distracted to get into anything so nothing works.

Has anyone seen the movie w/ DMX and Nas called "Belly"? In "Belly", DMX has a movie on in his house that looks really wierd...From the website, it loks like it might have been Gummo...Does anyone know?

Always wondered what the movie might be...The clip has some hillbilly kids talking about rabbits and playin with each other...wierd

25TH HOUR

Saw it when released at the theatre and loved it. Empathizing with the lead character although he is a "criminal." Watched it months later on DVD with friends and balled my eyes out in places and felt oddly uncomfortable in others. I picked the movie because I knew my mates would appreciate it. They did but did not enjoy the emotional wrought they felt afterwards.
Good Movie Bad Timing.

Hmmm....also felt the same empathy for the lead in American History X. Edward Norton is brilliant.

Natural Born Killers or Pulp Fiction on Avils

that was the last time i ever ate them things

Genasirus and myself watched this WHILST tripping, in a dark house, by ourselves...

What a fun nite :D

Trainspotting....

Maybe not the whole movie, but the bit with the baby crawling on the wall was bad enough for me straight I doubt that I could handle that coming down.... Another bad one would have to be "GO" only because it's such a crap movie.....

I agree with "Requiem for a dream" and "Mulholland Drive"... maybe "The Blair Witch Project" for the simple reason is that I am dizzy enough normally, extremely dizzy when coming down, so I would be massively knackered trying to watch that with all those crappy camera work.8(

I watched Nowhere once while shrooming. I definitely do not recommend it.
