movies NOT to watch when coming down / scattered

there is nothing i like better than after a big nite out than to curl up on the couch watching movies...

but, through the course of doing this, i have come across a number of movies never to watch when fragile...

they include:

requiem for a dream - i think we can all agree on this one...

donnie darko - slightly warped and slightly freaky... i still get weird flashbacks from this movie... and cant listen to gary jules "mad world" anymore..

rob zombies "the house of 1000 corpses" - we chucked this on one day at a recovery... i dont think anyone who watched it has been the same since.. i still have nightmares about "fish guy"

AI (artificial intelligence) - this is on tv tonite, but i'll definately give it a miss.... one word.... TWEAK!!

memento - do not watch this scattered, you will never figure it out..

lost in translation - what exactly goes on in this movie???

from hell - jack the ripper... enuff said....

21 grams - extremely hard to follow, but once you do it really freaks you out....


can anyone else suggest any more????


mods - i did a search but all i could find was threads about movies we all like / drug related movies etc.... so i dont think this has been covered..

although i'm a fan of the weirder the better when i'm scattered. then i don't have to feel bad if and when i "don't get it" :)
 
The Game with Michael Douglas...definately too few twists and turns to catch up with the twists and turns of a scattered brain. heh
 
Theres this one movie its called something like kungpow and seriously it shouldnt be watched on a come down..

I think its called that anyway that could be a different movie but yah its weird.
 
One to fear while comming down would be Minority Report..

Hard enough trying to follow whats happening while you are straight :D
 
event horizon... i was seriously traumatized. i thought it would be a good come down movie what with special effects and a soundtrack partly by orbital. i was wrong.

lol i actualy really liked this movie for being scat, dosen't take much to folow the story line. just sick images on a screen really

SHREK 2! omg talk about confusing, i had to leave the room about 1/2 way through because i was so confused

I watched Fear and Loathing on a comedown and it fucked with me.
And to whoever mentioned Event Horizon - lucky you.
I didn't watch House of 1000 corpses on a comedown but I have seen it when I was mega trashed and I don't think I've been the same since.
 
Its just been released but I dont think Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind would be the most apt thing to view on Scatterday or Stunday.
 
I second Donnie Darko: All you're theories just go flying out the window when you're scattered

The Ring: The movie is too damn long. You sit it out for 2 1/2 hours or so just for the ending and by the end of it you're buggered even more

A Beautiful Mind: Watching a movie about a guy with Schizophrenia when you're coming down makes you believe you're seeing things too.
 
Yep anything by David Lynch is definitely a no no... Unless you want to warp your mind even more ;)

I definitely agree with Requiem as well...

Don't watch Cube... or Pi... both will fuck with your mind :)
 
The original Planet of the Apes.

Plus its made utterly confusing if tripping keeps swapping the apes with the humans. ;)

Though i recomend when straight:)
 
Someone decided to play Gothica today .. my fragile did not appreciate it at all, besides the fact that i wasnt interested in following it .. the shower scene where the faces morph was fucking freaky

lol i just downloaded a 2gb full series of it. yeah i can see how it would freak you out. but straight it's awesome!
