I've been living in panama for several months now, and have hardly left my apartment. Main issue is I don't speak spanish fluently enough to make a real conversation with someone. I know there alot of english speaking people here for school, work, etc. Just don't know where anything to do is really, therefore dunno where to find these people 8(.
Bored out of my mind and would like to have some idea on where I can meet some new people for the time I'm living here. I'm a drinker, so bars and nightclub recommendations would be cool.

Why would you move if you don't even know enough spnish to get by? Its not like you need to master it but fuck..Its like forigners who come to america to live and don't know our language..I just don't understand it

Had no choice in the matter really. Live with my dad, didn't have stable enough income to stay in the U.S. So ended up out here. The whole non-fluent spanish thing doesn't bother him because he does business with other americans living out here

Are you in Panama City? Get a bunch of large bills. Go to club PEOPLE. Party your ass off.

Repeat. Dude, you are in an awesome place. You should take a bus trip around the country.
Las Pharmacias son muy simpaticos.

You can't learn Spanish if you don't speak it.

I don't believe that the product on the street is sold in kilo's..it would be a waste of money cause there's no way you can do it and no way to bring it back easily.

i would hope you would take a few classes or get rosetta stone before you did..you dont have to speak it fluent but at least enough just so you can get by...

kilos.... no, but a gram of coke costs NO PRICES as much as a big mac. (not the meal)

and is it the best coke you ever had or is it so cheap it doesnt really matter?

and how expensive you think dope is...prolly the same price?

i bet you could get a pound some regular weed for like a cnote too..thats what i would need to get first, some weed and then i would worry about the other drugs after i got some weed

I bought alot of weed, but it is tough because you tend to get it in small amounts. I came across a large amount of it though, and bought probably an ounce for very, very cheap. I then flew with it in my shoe back to Panama City, it was dumb as hell.

I wasn't into dope at the time, but I found LSD. Also had Codeine, Tramadol, Hydrocodone, Valium, Ativan, Xanax, and some barbs from the pharmacies down there. They are a bit fast and lose with the scripts. As in, go to the pharmacy, ask for a box of valium, they say you need a Rx. I ask where to get an Rx, the other pharmacist takes out a pad, writes me an rx, takes my money, i hand the script to the other pharmacist, they fill it, I pay.

was that convo is spanish or english?

and how many pills come in the box and whats its cost like... 2 or3 $5 dollar footlongs from subway would be my guess?

Espanol.

Also had a funny convo in Colombia when I tried to redeem an Rx for 3 Ativan. She asked me if It meant 3... or 3 cases. And at that moment I totally forgot what "cajas" was in spanish, but regained composure in time to walk out with 300 2mg ativan.

A box is cheap. It really varies where you get it. I remember liking the codeine cough syrup better cuz it was like 1/10 the price of the pills... so worth it.

yeah see if you dont speak the language they prolly wouldnt be so nice

but yeah codiene is so weak..i would go and ask for some benzos, ive only done xanax so i would get all 3 and see which one i like best..id prolly try and find some K..and unless they had some OCs or dillys and i cant think of the other one but anywayi wouldnt waste my time on hydrocodone

I could not find harder opiates for the life of me, but wasn't too into em at the time. In all probability if I could buy Codeine OTC it would be the only thing I would do. Plus benzos.

diversions aside, Latin America is just waiting to be discovered by you, OP. It is like America, because they all look up to our enterprising spirit (except those dirty revolutionaries), but way more corrupt, they still know how to party, you can smoke in clubs, taxis are cheap as shit, no one drives, it is just ill. Get out and explore. You have to learn the language, the only way is to try.

Just get an intro to espanol somewhere, then hit the town and talk to as many people as possible. If you actually try, they will help you. Think about it like this: an intro to spanish class will get you to a speech capacity of about a 5 year old. You can express your needs, get food, find a place to shit, maybe even buy drugs. From that point on, it is your job to converse, because that is the only way you will get to be conversational in spanish. It has been a long time since I have used it, and I doubt I could express many complex ideas anymore, but that comes with practice.

i took 2years of spanish in highschool cause they made us but i barely passed and cant speak a lick of it, i caqn understand it a little when its spoken slowly and i know the context or like if its a food menu but theres no way id go without having someone withme that can speak the language

i always say how much i regret not learning when i had that chance, basically it was a mandatory requirement so i didnt take it serious cause i didnt pick the class myself (well i did pick it bnut i had to choose from french, spanish, latin,or german and now they offer mandrin and arabic) but now i look back and wish i learned it when i had the chance and the help to do it..ive been told at job interviews that being bilingual is almost as good and at some places better and more important then having a college degree
