MOUTHWASH Increases Sublingual Absorption - TRUE OR FALSE ?

Hi

I remember reading somewhere that mouthwash increases the effectivness of sublingual method.

Is it true at all?

If yes, is it any mouthwash or does it need a specific ingredient?

If it works, how much do you think it help?

It could be used for using with NBOMES which are not superb absorbed sublingually .

The alcohol and general gargling and scrubbing help remove dead skincells to enhance buccal absorption I guess. But I wouldn't expect wonders, just a margin.

I do a mouthwash before dropping blotters, be they LSD, NBome, DOC, 5MeOaMT, .. .
I must say I find sublingual NBome (25C & 25D) pretty active at low doses, compared to reports I read. I have never tried another ROA so maybe it's personal.
Compared to erowid's dosage listings I always find my fav dose in the common - heavy section. Not so for NBOMES. 175mcg of 25C was very social on a festival and 400mcg of 25Dwas a wonderful evening of empathy and introspection.

edit: i always use mouthwash with listerine, don't know if it has anything to do with it's effect.

In other news: saliva drug testing on cannabis can be tricked by using listerine-based mouthwash 15minutes before a test. This is with occasional smokers.
Daily smokers might need to eat a raddish (sp?) after the mouthwash. It creates an enzyme in your mouth which destroys metabolite of THC which the test looks for.

My original "source" however was a documentary on belgian television, around the time they were first introduced in traffic controls here.

This is a link to a dutch forum. The post basically says as follows:

Opzet: Vrijdag 3 J's zaterdag 2. Test zondag ochtend om 11u (12u tussen laatste j en test). Resultaat: Zonder specifieke voorbreiding = positief voor thc. 3 radijzen (peroxidase enzym) 10 min wachten dan test. De indicator was vaag maar gaf toch kleur. Zo'n twijfelgeval zoals bij zwangerschapstests. Zwanger of niet? Resultaat was voor mij onduidelijk.

Vervolgens mn mond gespoeld met listerine (de echte). resultaat negatief voor thc. De combinatie werkt.

Setting: Friday smoked 3 joints, saturday 2. saliva test sunday morning at 11 (12 hours between last joint and test). Result: Without specific preparation: positive for THC.
Ate 3 raddishes (peroxidase enzyme), waited for 10minutes and did the test. The indicator was vague but showed some color. Kind of in doubt. Result unclear.
Next I washed my mouth with listerine (trademark), result: negative for THC. The combination works.

Wel ben ik er achter dat peroxidase (stof in radijsachtigen) in een speekselmonster een trager effect heeft. Maw eet je radijs en krijgt kort daarna een test dan zal een deel van de thc-cooh (de stof die getest wordt. vernietigd zijn. Maar nu komt het mooie. De tijd werkt in je voordeel. Volgt de verdere speeksel analyse een paar uur later dan zal er weinig of niet meer terug te vinden zijn omdat de peroxidase in je speeksel intussen verder zijn werk doet. De combinatie peroxidase

peroxidase en een oxidatief medium (listerine, zuurstofwater,...) zorgt voor een instant effect in de vernietiging van de organische afvalstoffen in je speeksel. Binnen de paar minuten ben je safe. Heb dit na gevraagd bij een laborant smoker hehehe...L

I discoverd that peroxidase (substance in raddishes) in a saliva monster has a slower effect.
If you eat a raddish and shortly after have a drug test, a part of the THC-COOH (metabolite tested for in saliva drug tests) will be destroyed. Here comes the catch: time is in your advantage. If there is a more thorough saliva test afterwards to confirm the first, some time has passed and a few hours later there won't be any more THCCOOH left because the peroxidase does its work in the meantime. The combination peroxidase and an oxidative (sp?) medium (listerine, oxygen water(?) ) causes an instant effect in the destruction of organic waste in your saliva. Within a few minutes you're safe. I checked this with a smoker who works in a laboratory.
