Motivation

So, I have always heard this dripping between my ceiling and the upstairs neighbors floor. Last night, I heard my neighbors running the shower and the dripping, which is in my closet, was significantly more pronounced.

Because of this I have been motivated to move all my clothes out of the closet, organize everything into their appropriate drawers, vacuum, mop my floors and dust.

I won't call the landlord until tomorrow because that is when my apartment will be spotless.

I'm 45 days clean today and when I was using my place was FILTHY. When I am clean, typically my surroundings are clean but I have been procrastinating. Now I am making the effort to get my shit proper. For me, environment and atmosphere is important but it takes some application of this thought to get shit the way it should be.

I'm recognizing changes in my behavior of late. I am now taking somewhat of an immediate action to those things that I used to simply put off until 'tomorrow'.

'Through our inability to accept personal responsibilities we were actually creating our own problems.'
--NA (Why Are We Here?)

The above quote holds true for anyone. I see this problem and I am addressing it now. A little effort now will spare MUCH aggravation later.

It's funny, but I find that I have a similar relationship between cleanliness and in my case depressive episodes. I've had a few off and on (mild ones, thank science) since early Sept, and the crap just kept building up. Well, earlier this week I was able to pull my head out of the funk, and have been systematically cleaning and re-cleaning my place.

Unfortunately, my roomba picked a shit time to break down on me, so I have to manually sweep my floors. /pouts

There's nothing like a visit from the landlord to motivate you to cleanup - I've been there, and found a way to sweep the floor super fast. I bought a broom from Home depot with a 4 foot wide head. I think it's called a deck broom. I can sweep the house in about 10 minutes with that thing.

I am in need of a good house cleaning. In a major way actually.
Hope the drip/noise turns out to be nothing big btw :)

I think it is big, actually. The ceiling is soft to the touch and I'm pretty sure if I push my finger through there will be a major gush with mold. Also, I noticed that when I shower the ceiling starts to drip approximately a foot from the shower head.

My lease is up on Jan 1st. I'm out of here then!

Congradufuckinlations!!!! 45 days. If I could reach 3000miles out my window I would give you props.

Motivation is killer. I don't know why, but it's been driving me nuts all my life.

You just motivated me to clean up, so I am going to clean up. I have junk everywhere, on top of other junk blah blah blah...even word junk on my posts. My head physically extends itself to my surroundings....

It's a mess. bbl

Maybe, new Place on Jan 1'st could be another fresh start to go with your New Job and new Clean life? Who knows?...Forward Man!:)
Also, major congrats on 45 days!!
Delighted for ya!:)
