I'm sorry
for all the times
those coffee cups
were never filled

Never emptied

Of the steamy
release of words that
needed to be said

and the small moments in our lives
that floated by unnoticed.

aw, i really love this. sounds like something i'd like to say to my mother, she lives in a hazy dream... living for the future because she thinks she'll be happy there... so thus she's on auto-pilot when i talk to her. it's impossible to connect, but there's still time i guess. great poem SLM

Yeah, this makes me think of my mum too. There's so much we could speak about, but I guess our concern for each other's happiness is at the forefront of the relationship.

This is somewhat true of my mum also. We can connect, but it tends to be sporadic and not always comfortable. I figure once I become a parent myself our connection will deepen. Maybe that's living for the future on my part, but I can just envisage it being true.

I think I like this the most of everything you've posted so far.

Sometimes you can say so much with few words.

Beautifully written :)
