most overrated albums

after being a fan of all the previous outkast releases, you can not tell me that horrible audio diarreah is worth listening to more than once, maybe twice if you're on some drugs.

you're exactly right man. Now post some of the music you've created so that I can see what good music is. I mean shit man, I get all of my music from the radio. Listening to the radio is a SIN now ya know? Show me and everyone else what's up. Hook us up with some of your music.

You don't have to be able to make better music than someone to criticize their shit. They are supposedly the musicians, not me. I am the listener.

And when I listened to that double cd of complete garbage, it probably turned me off to Outkast forever (even though I used to like them). Andre 3000 (or whatever the fuck number he's using after his name these days) does an experimental disc?! Gimme a fucking break. He has a nasty flow and barely even tries to rap on the album. You can't sing buddy, don't quit your day job. The other single on Big Boi's album ("The Way You Move") was just COMPLETELY sampled from whatever 70's funk hit that was, and people are calling Outkast "experimental" and "innovative." Gimme a goddamn break.

They made an album for the white reviewer, and boy did it work. They pulled the wool over the eyes of dumbasses who are only slightly into mainstream hip-hop ("Hey Ya!...I can get into this). No one that actually likes hip-hop thinks that album is worth a shit. People like Moby think it's a great album.

Everything Outkast did before that was so much better, it's just disgusting.
People calling this double cd "album of the year" and such. It's making a fine coaster for me.

I hated the outkast double CD. waste of fucking money. worst shit ever.

and the arcade fire totally blows. sounds just like every other fucking 'indie' band out there.

daaamn doggy there was some wack shit on love below but there was still some bangers on the record as a whole

dont get me wrong im with yall for the general idea, just minus the intense hatred yall got 4 it ;)

Hear hear. The weird thing is, we only see this with music reviews. No one reads a film review and goes, "Oh yeah? I'd like to see you direct a better film. Ha!!"

ebola

He has claimed in other threads that he makes good music. Had he not I wouldn't have asked him to show me.

I'd still like to hear some of his good music.

Nobody does this with films because people don't go around saying "man I direct such good films."

It doesn't matter if he dances naked and plays the accordion while spitting his verses...that Outkast double album is still an overrated piece of walrus shit.

OutKast is just like anyother quasi hip hop/ dance fucken what ever you wanna call that kinda music, but they're just more marketable cause they have more of a slight edge compared to some of the other crap that periodically leaks through cracks of walls at night....

ugh, more overrated music:
The Hives
- all of their piss-poor albums

If this is the band I think it is, when I first heard them on the radio (and in a million commercials) they sounded like a carbon copy of Iggy and the Stooges "Raw Power" album.

how is one to tell the differnece between all this lame hipster crap music?

I don't know, ask one of these lame hipsters on the board.

It's like when my dumb, hipster, wannabe filmmaker, NYU graduate friend told me, "The Libertines and/ or The Hives are saving rock."

I never laughed so hard.

Yeah, he only started getting into music at college.

Rock doesn't need to be "saved," thank you very much.

You don't have to tell me, man. I hate that shit, and the whole snobby attitude that goes along with it. They think their pretension is cool somehow. I never understood that. I feel like I am being surrounded by these jerks more and more.

The funny thing is that these bands will not exist in 3-5 years, and if they do, no one will give a damn.
