Most Important thing you've learned in your life?

A few important things I've learned:

If everyone is thinking outside the box, there's a new box.

If you remove a butterfly from a cocoon, even if it's wings are fully formed, it will never fly. The butterfly must go through the struggle of opening it's shell to gain the strength in it's wings to fly. Otherwise it is just a caterpillar with wings.

One is that i'm no one special in the sense that anything that can happen to you can happen to myself as well. I don't know about the rest of you, but whenever I engage in risky behavior, you never think you'll be "that guy" that you read about or hear about. Not just drugs either, bungee jumping, cheating on spouses, etc. Anything's possible and just because you don't think it won't happen doesn't make it true.

Also, friends are a dime a dozen. You'll have so many 'friends' when you're on top and have money, power, influence, whatever. But the minute you lose whatever they benefit from, they'll dump your ass quick. You usually only have 1-2 GOOD friends you can truly count on to help you in need, no matter what. Family just wants what's best for you usually and will usually always be there.

Oh yeah, most people DO snitch if they have to. If they can keep themselves from getting in trouble and their wife/kids/family finding out about it will write statements on you or whoever quick as they can give them the paper and pen. They will deny it of course, but i've seen this shit happen to so many people, myself included, and when they end up going to court, the guy you least expect to be there testifying against you is the guy you JUST had dinner with the night before or the guy that just wished you good luck in court the week before. I've never snitched on anyone, thank God my family made sure I had lawyers with me if the cops came to question me, but i've seen so many people I would NEVER think snitch on guys. People are all about themselves, the majority anyway, and don't give a fuck what happens to you.
