Film Most Depressing Movies?

For me, it's Requiem for a Dream
I saw it twice, and the aftereffects of watching it lasted for days.

I remember one beautiful fall day a friend of mine and I as well as his son went to a BBQ update NY. Very strangely wonderful day. We got back to his house that night and his wife was just starting a movie and sort of implied to watch it with her. It was Lorenzo's Oil. I bet falling off a horse was less dramatic.

Originally that movie scarred me. Now watching it, I think it's too over the top and so ridiculous that it makes it hard to believe.
Yeah, first time I watched it was in my mid twenties when I'd already started running the ringer of drug abuse with the 'hard' drugs like stims and downers. As such I've always been confused by both its popularity as well as the 'scared straight' aspect. Never watched it since then; just seemed like a bad D.A.R.E. ad or 80s drug PSA.

But I do enjoy naked Jennifer Connelly.

Aronofsky does psychotic fever dream movies really well... like Black Swan. I don't think it was really a D.A.R.E PSA... but it was just silly and should not have been taken serious by any aspect of drug culture (pro or against).
