Hole at the Astoria supporting Mudhoney. Courtney Love went to the side of the stage to change her guitar. She then turned and ran back on stage trying to make a dramatic entrance and went arse-over-tit big time. Looked like it really hurt. Couldn't have happened to a nicer person.

I saw Aphex Twin in the UK not long after he'd released the first Selected Ambient Works album. We got totally stoned expecting ambient chillout stuff and he came on stage and proceeded to play 1.5 hours of total industrial fucking noise, complete with an angle grinder on stage. Brilliant.

Any takers?
 
i thought i saw a dj on stage and trey smoking a joint at a phish show in vegas. turns out, i was just really high on acid.

i do have some stories i could add here. let me do some thinking. i like this thread too.
 
My weirdest concert experience was at an MC Chris show a couple years ago. The show itself was cool, but it had the strangest atmosphere of any concert I've ever been to, especially a hip hop concert. I don't think I've ever seen so many nerdy white kids assembled in the same place before. I was tripping face at the time, which obviously altered my perception a bit, but to this day I have never laughed harder than I did watching about 200 nerds awkwardly bobbing and shuffling around to hip hop music - at times I seriously thought I might pass out from laughing. Seriously, it went on for the whole show. Acid usually makes me laughter prone, but from the time I entered the venue to the time I left I barely managed to catch my breath. I had to take a couple trips to the bathroom just so I could relax and get my shit together, but I would inevitably start cracking up within a few minutes of coming back to the show. I was trying to be quiet so I didn't piss anyone off (out of courtesy, not because I couldn't have taken every one of those skinny nerds in a fight) but at one point in between songs MC Chris points at me and says "If any of you guys are looking for some good drugs, go talk to that giggly motherfucker over there" which of course made me laugh harder. A couple guys even actually came up to me looking to score but I didn't have anything so I said something like "You might be able to catch a buzz if you let me piss in your mouth".

The next day I was physically sore from laughing so much - in fact, my entire torso ached for multiple days after the show. Wikipedia says people can die from laughing so hard and I believe it - I was almost the guy that laughed himself to death on acid.
 
Haha, that's a quality story Mr Grunge. Not sure how you held it together when you were picked out in the crowd.
