I consider methadone in a different class cause the half life is so fucking long plus it's synthetic. Which makes it much less addictive than heroin cause you don't need a fix half as often.

I'd say it's definately nicotine. Then morphine/heroin IV and then DXM.

I can quit drugs like coke and X no problem but those 3 drugs I've tried to quit so many times and I always end up doing them again. I chose nicotine because even if i was never to do DXM and opiates again I know I'd end up smoking a cigarette.
 
opiates are the most physically addictive but i think crack and crank fuck u up in the head a little more
 
i think that realisticaly methadone and klonopin/xanax are the hardest drugs to come off......but ive seen people so fucking hooked on all kinds of shit....like hardcore dxm addicts, caffeine addicts, nicotine addicts......i dont think there is just one *most addictive substance* because everyone veries so much. some people think they are going to die from caffeine wd. others can drop xanax cold turkey without too much discomfort. alot of data says nicotine is....but i can stop smoking whenevever i want. ive done it thousands of times (lol thats kind of stolen from mark twain, but quotes a little off) for me, benzos, opiates, and dxm have been my worst demons.
 
oh yeah those are rough, but the wds from methadone are 100 times worse, thats the reason i said methadone instead of H or hydromorph. mdone wds will make a full grown man bawl and roll around on the floor screaming and crying. but yes, H and dillies are extremyl extremly addictive. no arguments there
 
In my eyes cocaine is the most retched and addictive drugs out there. I have watched people turn into fiends after doing coke 2 or 3 times, cant say the same about any other drug out there. The only upside is that many users eventually burn out after 5 to 10 years but opiates are much kinder to the mind/body so addicts tend to stay hooked longer. I personally hated coke the few times I tried it yet the next several days all I could think about was how much "I might be wrong" or how "I should just re-evaluate a few more times" haha. Now that is addicted, I hated it and still wanted more when sober! I mean really, it must be addictive as hell when you consider all the awful side effects yet people still use it.

Now in my personal experience I rate opiates very low despite my admiration for them. I also rate nicotine very low but understand that genetic predisposition is more important for nicotine than for many other drugs. Cannabis was always my biggest struggle because of my percieved lack of side effects, I emphasize percieved. Not to mention once you are mentally addicted to marijuana it stays for life. I rarely smoke anymore but it is the undisputed most euphoric drug for me, better than morphine, oxy, blow, dexamp, etc...
 
i understand what your talking about, and i too have no liking for coke, even though i do dig a little meth every now and then.
but, it is basicaly proven that methadone and klonopin and xanax and triazolam, are the very hardest physical addictions to kick. agreed coke can be extremely mentaly addictive, and for many mental addictions are worsse than phsycal addictions. when i start doing meth i dont want to stop and i smoke it till its gone. but then i forget about it for a few months and if it comes around again ill smoke a few grams with whoevers around. and yes, i have seen some of my best friends DESTROYED by coke. ive never seen anyone fiend for anything like i have a couple of my buddies for coke. peace

Susceptibility to the physical aspects of benzo addiction varies quite a bit -- believe it or not, some people don't experience much in the way of withdrawal symptoms.

To a certain extent I'm one of those people, although I'm not talking about suddenly going off massive doses... more like cutting down rapidly, or abruptly quitting around ~1mg/day level of klonopin intake. Just not a problem for me. At most, I'll get some slight anxiety. Note also that I'm completely immune to blackouts & memory problems from benzos and sedative-hypnotics, no matter what the dosage.

heroin personally...but crack is a close worthless second...anyone who would want a high for 10 seconds is blatant evidence that crack is severely addictive...mentally...opiates take the cake for the worst detox
 
My opinion...

For me the most addictive drug is desoxyn , yes I'm prescribed to them. But if I don't take them my blood pressure drops, so that's why I find them addictive. :|
 
For me opiates gave me a life-struggle. Nicotine was always easy to pick up or put down, as was meth; i've always run out and not cared. I think part of it is the mindset you have to have for stims - though nicotine is available in every country, i also think part of its difficulty in quitting is the habit of smoking itself rather than just the drug.

SSRIs would also go on my top two for dependency and difficulty quitting.

Most addictive substance meaning it will get you addicted the fastest and the easiest or it will be hard to drop once you're addicted?

The most addictive substance for me would be heroin and opioids in general. They make me addicted quick and unnoticed. I thought I had quit codeine because I hadn't been taking it for a week then suddenly I took from 150-450mg each day for ~10 days now. I can't see the end. Long after opioids there's a group called benzodiazepine derivatives. I'm addicted to 3-5mg lorazepam/4-8mg estazolam a day but took some time. Earlier I could stop any day.

I have never experienced any serious benzodiazepine withdrawal but opioid withdrawal physically and psychologically is really hard to get through.
