morphine vs. heroin

as a long time casual user of IV opiates, i am always curious how the rush and high differ. Just banged some crushed up oxy, and now I get why they are so popular. what a great feeling.

I get my stuff through pharmeceutical sources, and have thusly used morphine, dilaudid, demerol, all kinds of pills etc...
never tried heroin. dont have a connection, not going to look for one, i like knowing exactly what I am using.

I am totally curious though. I know that heroin is quickly converted into morphine, but part of that process is part of the rush right? I personally don't care for morphine all that much. I get zero euphoria, just mostly a 'turn-to-stone' feeling. dilaudid and demerol have given me the best rush (and oxycodone now too). does this mean I wouldn't be all that impressed with heroin? if the high is very similar to morphine then I dont think I am all that eager to try it.

Diacetylmorphine by a nose!

You know, people now use diacetylmorphine because it is not addictive like regular morphine. Plus, it makes you feel "Heroic!" Hence, the name "Heroin!"

heroin produces a metabolite(can't remember the name) that makes it superior to morphine(and all other opiates imo).

however even though i.v.ed heroin is considered the most euphoric, the high is not far off at all from i.v.ed morphine. the rush of heroin just has a bit more of a "kick".

^ must be 6-mam(monoacetylmorphine) plus i think h is more lipid soluble than m making it cross the bbb better hence the rush.

yeah, that sounds interesting, but is it all that different a high from morphine? a stronger rush, but does the rush feel much different?
demerol, dilaudid, oxy, and morphine all have distinctly different rushes for me. Since heroin is chemically similar to morphine, and is changed into morphine, i think it must feel pretty similar. therefore, since I am not all that crazy about how morphine makes me feel, I am thinking I won't like heroin all that much. Can anyone dispute this?

just banged 40 of oxy... up, up and away....
