Morphine v. Oxycodone

I think I want to try some ms contin soon...before I go on suboxone treatment. I can only get the 200 mg's. Lol, I know I know...what a problem right? I looked at a opiate calculater and it said the morphine 200 is the same as 133.33mg of oc. Btw, it will prob be taken orally unless somebody has a better suggestion. I usually take 30 mg of OC twice a day so that makes 60 mg's per day. I'm kind of scared that the morphine will be too much, but the real problem is a long time ago I took a 100 mg morphine(light blue) a couple of times and it didn't do shit for me. How should I go about this??? Should I just break it in half and take it? Should I take like 1/4 of it and take a perc 10 w/ it? Should I plug it(which I have never plugged anything b4)?...or should I just not bother at all? I just want to have some fun b4 I quit(of course)! Last question...Why does it seem like ms contin doesn't get me high? I'm interested now b/c the last time I tried it was a long time ago. I want to get a nice buzz but I don't wanna die. I would really appreciate some input...thanks ppl
 
Ms contin ? as in the time realease morphine?

Well theres not much you can really do with these other than break them into 3 or 4 pieces and keep taking them every 15-20 minutes and drinking lots of acidic drinks ( pop or lemonade )

Thats the only way i ever got off on them and it seemed to work better than any of the other methods on this site. < was prescribed the 30's for almost half a year

Ive also tried letting them sit in lemon juice for days and that didnt even seem to break the time seal much.

Best way to do it is the way i just said in my personal experiance anyways.

Oh and taking them on an empty stomach helps alot or at night, i used to wake up and still be high so this method works pretty well.

And dont plug them it wont work since its time release, and the first few times i did morphine orally i was very dissapointed, but after finding out my dose and how to use it i learned to like it alot.

I loved those 200mg tablets...they are either green or blue and oblong right? I get the 100 and 200mg tabs mixed up, but yeah they're nice... in my experience 50mg or a 1/4 of the pill will probably be good if your used to 30-40mg of OC. Id get some benadryl or something tho cuz morphine will have you itchin like crazy

I know the 100's are the greenish blue ones...I think I saw a picture of the 200's and they looked almost grey in the picture. So do you think it will feel similar to the OC?

and does anybody think it would be a bad idea to take 50 mg(1/4 of the pill) and 10 or 20 mg of the OC at the same time???

no it wont feel the same, morphine and oxycodone are two very different opiates, the morphine will give off a more pens and needles feeling, stronger histamine release, much more potent IV'd, and will be more sedating than the oxy from my experiences. If you wanted to combine the two I might suggest 25mg Morphine and 10-20mgs oxy to start with totaling around 35-45mgs of narcotics

thanks...I think tht sounds like a good combo to try so I can get a little from both worlds. Sounds fun...do u know how long the morphine lasts? In case I want to redose?
 
I like the itchin like crazy effect from Morphine.! When i get that way i know i am NICELY BUZZED..!! :-) ...and if you like a good stimulant combo take 25-50 mg Ephedrine with your dose. Benadryl will make you more lazy. I got shit to do ..so i take ephedrine with my ms contin. Best way is to crush 90-200 mg of ms contin in a big spoon, then add honey over it to ease it down. Do this on an empty stomach. Wait bout 20-30 min before eating. You can add the ephedrine with your dose or after eating.
 
I like morphine better personally, it lasts longer and is more euphoric for me, I like to combine it with small amounts of d-amphetamine, but everyone is different. My first experience with oral IR morphine was what sealed the deal with devil opiates for me many years ago.
 
Morphine has a half-life of 2-3hours while oxycodone has a half-life of 3-4.5 hours, pretty close in most cases, and the pills we are talking about I have used many times and last about 3-4 hours, which is the same as Oxy IR
 
^thats an atypical response to oxycodone, I can assure you that a normal oral dose of oxycodone lasts much longer than 30-120minutes, but I guess we will have to agree to disagree and not derail this thread
 
I guess I'm the only one on this thread that believes the potency of MSContin is much lower than the rest. I wouldn't compare 30-40mg of oxycodone to 50mg MSContin, I'd agree with more like 25mg oxycodone = 50mg MSContin. If you take 60mg oxycodone daily than I'd recommend 125mg. In my opinion you can't pay attention to the equivalence table when it comes to MSContin. I'd say that MSContin is 1/2 the potency of oxycodone. A little more if its instant release and regardless of what anyone says it does make a difference. Personally I always thought that an 80mg OC = 200 MSContin.

The effects are different. Morphine is by far more sedating than oxycodone and produces more of a nod. I feel that oxycodone is one of the most "stimulating" opiate and more euphoric. They both about the same duration if they are instant release formulation.
