found some morphine sulfate 15mg pills the other day. Wondering what they are comparable to as far as other pills? Loritab 10's? I used to fuck with OC's, mostly 20s and 40s (this was before 80s really came out on the streets much) but havnt done opiates in about 7 years, just wondering how strong these are so if i decide to try em i wont be going into it blindly
 
also, i weigh about 190 (just ate Sunday dinner so 195 at this point), and these are 15mg extended release. I rubbed the coating off one of em with a wet rag and chopped it up and snorted a bit, but got no feeling, maybe a little numb.

Also i did a search and found topics kinda like this, but not exactly, but they did have some info, so sorry mods for posting without searching.

Anyhoo, any info here would kick ass
 
I haven't tried the ER formulation of Morphine Sulfate, but the oral and nasal biovailability of these pills is low (IR or ER). IV is 100% and plugging is somewhere in the range of 60-70%.

They have their fans. I'm not one of them really, though MS IR's are fairly good for pain relief.

This is a pretty basic question so I'm going to send it over to BDD.

30mg of morphine sulfate was comparable to 20mg of hydrocodone or oxycodone. I prefer morphine but many other people wouldn't I guess for whatever reason.
 
i get 400 30mg msir a mounth i usually take 120-150mg to equal 40-50mgs oc oraly but if you shoot them be carefully there 10* as strong i hadnt injected any until this last week and did about 20 of them thru a iv in the hospital via a cotton filter then a cig filter got a perfectly clear sullution and when injected it was just like liquid injectable morphine 60mg's and i just about thought i was gunna od and got the itch's like a mofo if you do decide to inject take it slow and dont do it offten this will be the only time i will inject only reason i did was to "try it out" and i loved it....too much also i find snorting them to be a waste i would either crush and take 60mg's for a starting dose or plug them 45mg should work well plugged
 
Captain.Heroin: You really think that 30mg MSContin is equivalent to 20mg oxycodone/hydrocodone?! Are you kidding me? I'd compare 60mg to 20mg oxy. If it were instant release than I'd say oxycodone is about twice as potent.

Don't snort them. Insufflating them is less potent than taking them orally.

I'd suggest starting at 45mg. (3x tablets)
 
Captain is right IMO, 60mg morphine is about the same as 35-40mg oxycodone.
Also, I wouldn't snort them, big waste. Definately better to go with oral unless you IV.
 
Wow, are we talking about the same drug?? I would never compare doses like that. Not at all. 60mg MSContin does very little to me. Like I said, I'd compare it to 20mg of oxycodone. I must of had some weird tolerance to only MSContin and no other opiate. I have high doubts the OP will feel that 60mg compares to 40mg oxycodone.
 
Yeah everyone reacts different, still that is kind of strange. You chew or crush the morphine before you take it right? Because I don't mean taking it whole.
 
I would say no more then 30mg's of MS the first time you take it. Morphine has a much worse rep for causing nausea and vomiting then oxycodone, hydromorphone or even heroin. Ive seen plenty of opiate addicts spew their guts up on morphine due to not being used to it. A former friend of mine was sick as fuck 2 days after following a injection of morphine he got in the hospital.

It's probably my fav opiate overall. It doesent give the kick hydromorphone does but it lasts much longer and still gives a good kick all the same.

Very true, and also alot of people don't realize how strong IV'd morphine actually is. You don't get much in the hospital alot of people OD IVing morhpine because they're used to OC or something else. IV'ing it is all around a bad fucking idea unless you know what the fuck you're doing. And as K'd out said it gels up.

Correct. IV'ing Morphine is a HELLA OF A LOT more potent than those controlled release pills. I don't think people realize that. Sure, I LOVE intravenous morphine in prepared solution but don't try injecting pills like MSContin.
