Hi, been lurking for 14 years, and finally have had the need to ask a question. I apologize if I am asking a redundant question but the 2 threads I came across discussing this topic or something very similar do not contain enough information for me to come to any practical conclusions. That, or whatever answers were to be had did not impart the levels of confidence I would need to act on the recommendation, therefore at the risk of sounding somewhat repetitive, would it be worth my time to smoke these little violet MST Continus Modified Release 30mg Morphine Sulphate tablets I have come upon?
I have tried taking one of the pills orally at a time when I had had little to no opiate/opiod use and the effects were quite palpable, far more so than my only other prior Morphine experience, which were 10mg Morphine Sulphate pills I inherited from my uncle's unsuccessful battle with testicular cancer.
Now, I wouldnt say the experience veered off to a point of unpleasantness, but I would estimate that nausea was not a long way off. Also, prior reading has led me to understand that the best bang for my buck with this particular iteration of Morphine Sulphate pill is to stick it up my ass, which is what I have elected to fall back on if the response to this query ends up ruling out smoking altogether as an option. Something about it not even bonding properly in your stomach and so losing a significant portion of its bioavailability (im not a doctor of anything)
So yeah, I'm only asking because I derive a superlative pleasure from smoking a substance if the taste and effect are agreeable enough. Over the many years ive come to understand that it is the relative time and intensity assosciated with smoking as a route of administration that Ive grown partial to. The taste of certain substances has been a bigger dealbreaker than anything else for me, but im always willing to give smoing a particular substance a try.
So, if it can be done, how is it done? Also what is the difference between 'modified release' and 'extended release', if anything at all?
Also, my current opiate/opiod tolerance is significantly higher as im suddenly awash with white and brown heroin that I hear nobody in North America gives two shits about these days.
Thank you everyone.
