Opioids Morphine sulfate dosage oral vs iv

Hey guys!

I'm on 440 mgs of (oral) morphine sulfate a day and was wondering how much i can safely IV without the risk of ODing? What's the recommended dosage? Some say 1/3, while others say 1/6?
Of course i want a good rush, but i certainly don't wanna overdose..

You can't do both at once. You can either find a safe dose or go chasing rushes but don't do them at the same time...

I'd start at about 25% of your oral dose and see how that goes.

I concur with sekio

60 mg to 100 mg tops for a first time shot, just to get the feel of it.

roughly a bit under and right at 25% are those numbers.

Yeah, 60mg always did me right. I had the 15mg IR's so it was hard to get more than 75mg in a shot. I really have nothing to add. I just wanted to daydream about the woozy rush, the pins and needles creeping up your chest to your neck and face. The deep sigh, eyelids shut, eyelids open and suddenly the world isn't so bad. I fucking love morphine.

I love opiates but never liked the rush from iv'ing morphine sulphate. Never really cared for the pins and needles feeling. Plus the ones I used to get were a last resort if I couldn't get my normal stuff. That and they were a pain in the ass to prepare. I agree with the both above posts. Don't do both at the same time. (Oral and iv) also agree with the 25% to start with and go from there. Do you have previous iv experience? If not I wouldn't never recommend going to the needle. Worst mistake of my life. 10yrs later and I still can't shake those fucking things! I also recommend reading the HR iv mega thread in here.. Lots of good info in there.

Given th respective B-A's, i would say a little less than a third of your oral dose, maybe even a quater to start, and see how that goes, but definaately not above a third of your oral dose....

Also with IV use your tolerance will raise at a very fast pace, and as it's well known, IV often leads to more complicated, generally worse addictive behaviour... so i would strongly advise against it, even if it's planned to be "just once" some of the people, specially those with particularly addictive personnalities fall in love with the rush, then the whole ritual, can't shake it, and end up revolving their life around the needle...
