I am in possession of a bottle of this stuff. I don't use needles but am interested in sampling the morphine. Are there any safe ways to orally ingest this? A drop or two under the tongue?
I suffer migraines and acute/chronic sciatica. When I had health insurance I was given morphine for the migraines (intravenously). I'm just curious if there is any way to use this stuff or should I just flush it?

What do you mean?

If it's suitable for injection, then by all means it's okay to swallow.

Yes, if it's pharmaceutical morphine sulfate in a vial, it's formulated for intravenous use, and therefore is sterile and could be safely used via any ROA.

Bob - Thanks for your reply. I did not know that. How much is safe to swallow? A dropper full? How should I store it? Refrigerator? I'm looking for acute pain management. A slight buzz would be nice but not necessary.

It is pharmaceutical morphine in a bottle. It says for SC, IM or slow IV use. Multiple dose bottle. 300 MG/20mL. How much do I ingest? Just take a sip? This is safe to do?

route of administration

You're welcome

There is no way to tell you a dose unless you find out the concentration of the solution. You can search BDD/OD for a dose recommendation.

I can't seem to find any info on how one might use this medicine orally to manage pain. The BDD/OD didn't get me anywhere.

I'd base it on your tolerance. It would seem 20 ml equals 300mg morphine. If my math is right, every ml would contain 15 mg morphine. Use an opiate conversion chart to figure the dose you need, then take that dose. Make sure you use the conversion for ORAL morphine, as this is how you plan on taking it. You can use an oral syringe, if its graduated, to measure dosage. Good luck.

Box says 300 mg/20mL (15 mg/ml) Multiple dose bottle. So an oral syringe of whatever the conversion would be. I will check out an opiate conversion chart. Thanks everyone for your feedback.

I have had that blue liquid morphine, it was a bottle, meant to be drank, my buddy had IVed about .50CC in his needle, and only got a rush for 20 secs, no after glow or anything, maybe not enuf

My intention is to use this for pain relief. Migraines and severe sciatica. I'm going to try it Sunday night. I wish I knew how to use a needle, but I've never done that.
Since this medicine can be injected subcutaneously, I guess I could just fill a syringe with the proper dosage and inject it in my thigh. Do drug stores sell hypodermic needles? I can't believe I'm asking all of these questions. Having no health insurance and chronic pain has brought me to this.

It depends where you live whether you can buy syringes OTC, check your local laws. You can otherwise get them from a Needlr Exchange in your area or order online.

Rectal dosing is another efficient route if you cant access needles. It can be performed using an oral syringe.

You seem unfamiliar with the different types of injectipn so before you go doing anything its best to look at the appropriate guodes for each separate kind.

I read all about rectal dosing last night. In the past 48 hours I've read a lot about injections and rectal dosing and oral dosing and nasal dosing. I thought that sublingual dosing would be a decent choice to get the medicine in my body but that's considered oral dosing and is the least effective way to absorb this medicine.

The safest way is oral. Plugging is MUCH safer than injection. To get the most out if it, plugging is your best safe bet.

I took half a teaspoon about 25 minutes ago. Put it under my tongue. Swirled around my mouth for over a minute then swallowed. Tomorrow I will try the plugging. Thanks everyone for your feedback.
