Morphine Percocet Xanax ohh my

I have been trying to understand what is going on with me. I was honest with my Dr after I found out that I have cancer I went on a heroin binge and then we began discussing the options we talked about the pain and aniexty. I have been trying to understand everything but I don't. I know that she put me on Xanax and morphine ER and Percocet IR for break through pain and Prozac. I know my Dr knows about my addiction history and was surprised about the medications she put me on. I'm scared about taking them but the pain I can't take will these medicine even work for a junkie.or will I end up having more problems than when I started. Has anyone been in a similar situation and how did you handle everything

those medicines should work for the pain, i don't think you'll get high off them but they should work initially
as the treatment progresses the amounts of them may need to be adjusted and perhaps even a couple swapped for stronger/weaker ones
when it comes to cancer, doctors are on your side no matter what your past is really.
