Opioids Morphine first time - why such a bad comedown?

Hey did Morphine for the first time yestarday, a oromorph solution dosed about 70-80mg oral, high was warm fuzzy and came in waves, felt like I could have done more. But the comedown was very bad, initialy felt ok but after I got up and showered I felt progressively worse, lied down for TV but just very rough, slept for 2 hours later in the day!

I have done codeine a few times before with almost as much high but nowhere near as much of a comedown, and erowid experiences seem to say that there is little comedown.

Is this normal? Will this happen again? Is it that I just broke my opiate cherry; I don't normally take them and not that much before!

Also this is my first post, but expect more!

What exactly was the comedown like?

The first 2 or 3 times I did morphine I felt like crap the next day, but it doesnt happen anymore.

Was a little like my alcohol hangovers in the way I couldn't move to much without feeling sick. Yep just feeling sick and feverish was the main bit. Just wanted to lie down which helped alot.

Yeah I initially intended that we a tester dose to see if I reacted well and could continue to test a larger dose. But I wouldn't want an equal experience like that or more high for worse/extended comedown that that. But you say the comedown stopped coming after your 2nd 3rd time. I was shocked how bad it was, it wasnt like I have done it for days/weeks to experience real W/Ds only a single oral dose.

"felt like I could have done more"

You should be thinking the opposite of this...Just a suggestion

Yeah I felt like I could have done more at the time of being high. Not on the comedown =D
I read lots of BL and erowid reports and decided that would be good, Seemed BL reccomended from 60 - 100mg and as ive done a few decent sessions of codiene before I thought it be ok

70-80 mg is a pretty high dose without any tolerance so it is very possible for it to make you feel like shit the next day.

Oral morphine has a bioavailability of about 25% so it wasn't too high of a dose.

Even taking BA into account that is a rather high dose.

You felt sick because you took a high dose of opiates, and suffered nausea as a result. It's pretty common, and can be solved by dosing an anti-emetic medicine.

Just a little too much for you, I have to agree. That would satify even me, and I'm hardcore with the opiates all day every day. I'd say you kind of ODed on it a bit, felt like shit the next day, that's normal. However, if you really feel like you weren't suffering negative side effects (nausea, intense sleepiness, stomach pains) while you were on it, then perhaps I'm wrong about it.

I experienced the same thing on large doses of tramadol, codeine and morphine combined. About an hour of euphoria, then the 'waves' as you termed it of nausea, puking, slight vertigo - a small OD.

I recently used Morphine orally for the first time with no experiences of opiates, I took 150mg, and feel awful today, I slept all day yesterday and suffered with chronic diarreah and sickness.
