so i took 6 or 7 morphine ER 30 mg tabs a few hours ago ... maybe around 11 PM (it is now 4 30 AM) and i dont really feel a whole lot. I am still kind of afraid to go to sleep though lol. I have what is probably a mild or moderate opiate tolerance .. i dont do them very often and am not an addict. So in your opinion ... is approx 200 mg oral morphine ER a high dose? Should i be worried about going to sleep and not waking up? Is my tolerance higher than what I think it is given the fact that i only have a mild buzz right now? I am aware of its relatively low oral bioavailability and comparison with oxycodone, etc. 200 mg orally is still a pretty high dose though in my opinion and I am sort of regretting taking that much. I feel as though I was a bit wreckless.
 
If you don't feel anything then there's really no harm in going to sleep. The problem with going to sleep is when people are so jammed they need to stay awake to consciously keep breathing. If you don't even feel jammed you'll b e fine
 
ahh .. the voice of reason speaks !!. These were obviously also my thoughts ... very common sensical. I have never taken an ER product like this and was a little concerned that the effects may gradually intensify as more drug was released. I just needed to have someone else tell me this lol. Your body eliminates the drug and the half life of morphine is pretty short .. i think about 4 hours or so .. so this is where i was leaning. I was getting paranoid though since, to me, this seems like a high dose for someone who is morphine-naive. I figured I would ask somebody in order to ease my paranoia. REgardless, i went to sleep anyway and im still alive .. just tired due to lack of sleep. Hopefully work is not too brutal today. Thanks for answering me. Good day!

Morphine sucks orally .. fyi .. in case you dont already know .. BA is just too low. Your liver extracts too much active substance for it to be an effective recreational drug IMO. Intranasal would be stupid as well. Stick to hydrocodone/oxycodone
