I have no experience with opiates and I came across a 60mg morphine sulfate sr. I was wondering what to expect if I ingest it orally and if it's worth the time.
Thanks!

60mgs is a good starting dose, if you don't feel anything wait a couple hours before taking more. You'll feel euphoric, warm, pins and needles, sedate and etc. Search this site/google/erowid for more in depth summary of effects.

Like mentioned above, take the 60mgs & if it doesnt do much, wait a few hours & take another. Dont take them more than 60mgs at once if you have no tolerance. Morphine is very sedating.

I usually have a low tolerance with all opiates & it doesnt take me much to get high. My first time on Morphine, I took 50mgs figuring since alot of people on this site were saying 100mgs wasnt doing much for them & Morphine has a low BA.

Im not stupid, I know how opiates can be for one person & not the other so I took 50mgs & I was so high...........my legs felt like jello & I could hardly keep my eye lids open. It was a very sedating high for me & I enjoyed it, if you like that sort of high. I started to take 25mgs a time after that because 50mgs was too powerful. Start low & work your way up because no one knows what you can handle, not even yourself.

This is really basic so I will send it to BDD.

I would suggest to be prepared to nod out a little - so don't drive or operate heavy machinery until you are for sure certain it won't impair your ability to do so.

Other than that I will wait for the BDD mods and regulars to inform you further. :)

Morphine is very sedating.

Especially when it's taken orally. Any parenteral ROA is a totally different story but it's not that I'm encouraging someone to take morphine parenterally. It's a strong opioid and it's sure to cause addiction shortly.

Dude says he has NO no experience with opiates..!! So 60mg will light this guy up.! What drugs do you have experience with.? I had tried a few opiates like 5mg percocet and vicodin before using morphine. I loved my first experience on morphine. I did not get much sedation, but felt great all over, and lots of euphoria :)

Me? I've got experience with a lot too many opioids. But when I started doing morphine (i.v.), it was a switch from codeine i.m. It's been quite a long ride for me that I'm tired of and I'm currently tapering down from methadone. Like I wrote, I'm not encouraging anyone to inject morphine.

I would say too try and start with a lower dose, this could definitely light you up haha, be safe man!

It's definitely safer to start lower to see how you react to a certain dose. Although morphine oral bioavailability is low, it varies from person to person. In theory, taking 60mg, you're getting 15mg. When I first shot up morphine, I did 40mg but I had some tolerance as I switched from 800-1000mg of codeine i.m. Normally, 10mg should be enough to feel it if you have no past experiences with opioids (of course next to not tasting it at all ;p)

60mg is a good starting dose. Although my first time it took more than 60mgs but I think that's because I was eating oxys and hydros like crazy years before I tried morphine.

60mg's of morphine should be a perfect starting dose.. If it is a sustained release pill my advice would be drink some hot coffee and put the morphine pill in your mouth chew it up as much as possible (with the coffee in your mouth) and swallow it.. that way it'll hit you hard and quick

Seems like we have a consensus here.. am going to close the thread now. Jackson p, feel free to pm me if you have any further questions :)
