Morphine and Promethazine Combo - How is it and what's a good ratio?

Bored. These two things are readily available and I am wondering about crossing the two. I tried the Morphine twice, I haven't gotten high off of it yet, but I want to give it one more shot. So what I really need to know is 1)Would these two together be any good? and 2) What should my dose ratio be?

bonus question: Is there a better way to take the morphine so that I get high? because it seems that swallowing the pill does nothing....

No idea about the ratio. never fucked around with promethazine.

ways of making pills come on quicker are crush it up and
1. snort that shit. BE CAREFUL
or
2. parachute it. this means take the powder and put it on a little bit of klenex or toilet paper. twist it up and swallow it quickly with water. BE CAREFUL

you can also chew up the pill in yer mouth and just swallow it with water.

30 mg of oral morphine is equal to

Heroin = 30 mg
Codeine = 200 mg
Hydrocodone = 30 mg
Oxycodone = 20 mg
Hydromorphone = 7.5 mg
Oxymorphone = 10 mg
Methadone = 5-10 mg†
Levorphanol = 4 mg
Meperidine = 300 mg
Tramadol = 150 mg§
Dihydrocodeine = 100 mg
Dextropropoxyphene = 130-200 mg*

(got that off of the opioid conversion chart on here)

I railed about half of a 200mg and it reminded me of the time i tried really good raw heroin.

Almost everyone seems to need to try opiates a few times before getting the hang of it. If you're silly enough to do this, then just do it, without bothering with promathezine. In my opinion this would be a massive and terrible waste of the morphine.

Because the promethazine would mask and detract from the opiate experience. Promethazine is a cheap and dirty drug whereas morphine is divine and extremely and increasingly hard to come by. Also it is the most potent fully natural opiate that exists.

Opiates are subtle and complex and to my mind combining it with promathezine would do nothing but increase fatigue.

Combining them would increase your overall fucked-up-ness but I don't see it being anymore enjoyable (unless that is what you want). Purple Drank is created out of necessity since the only codeine they can easily get their hands on in the states is a preparation already containing promethazine.

Subjective combo questions like this belong in Basic Drug Discussion but it, along with Other Drugs, is a harm reduction forum and I don't think this "how do I get higher" question really fits in that well...meh on second thought I'll send it over there so you can get a few more answers on ratio if you do plan on continuing with this endeavor.

I've done both, but never together. At first when i read this, i thought it would get him to "nod" better, but your point in that it would mask one of the best drugs on planet earth is valid. So it might be a good idea to do it alone, but the reason this was asked was because OperationIvyPunk didn't get desired effects from the morphine. That along with the fact that he said both drugs are readily available makes me think that he is from the UK because that's one of the few countries were there's otc morphine and promethazine. Also because those products are low concentration like J. Collis Brownes tincture. If he had/can get higher dose morphine he woulnd't have to think about promethazine.

Promethazine is a very sedating drug, I would try morphine by itself for pure harm reduction purposes, you should always try one drug before a combination unless you're already very familiar with the first drug in question [in your case, morphine].

Don't insufflate Morphine. The nasal bioavailability is almost half than oral. (~32% oral, insuffulated- 15-20 % ) But Chitosan (a linear polysaccharide that helps absorb drugs better) has been shown to increase nasal bioavailability of morphine from around 10-20% to over 60 % ) Also crushing MSContin barely breaks the time release. Unless your talking about MSir.

hmm, well I went through with it and ended up doing 50 mg prometh and 60 morphine, i felt relatively good, but i was mostly feeling the promethazine. I still want this morphine to hit me, I suppose I'll try it straight up today, although I still need to get around the time release issue....

MSContin feels really weak for an opiate. Its a mockery of Morphine because IV Morphine is incredible. Problem is that I can't break the time release so need really high doses. With a low tolerance I tried 30mg and nothing. Tried 45mg, nothing. Tried 60mg...felt a "little" something. I didn't really begin to feel something that resembles pleasurable until I got to 100mg. But at 200mg I got real fucked up with a moderate tolerance. So I enjoyed it once I got to the right dose. 150-200mg was a good dose range. Once I became really tolerant to Morphine I needed 300-400mg to feel something. I don't recommend those doses, in fact with little tolerance I wouldn't recommend 150-200mg either. If 60mg did nothing I'd suggest trying 90-100mg with the promethazine
