Opioids Morphine and Cyclobenzaprine

Hi can I take these at the same time I take morphine? I heard cyclo is a good potentiator for opiates and has little or no recreational value. Can anyone confirm that it makes morphines euphoria more intense or will it just make me more sleepy since it might intensify morphines sedative properties? I usually dose morphine around 120 mg or more.

While marketed as a muscle relaxant, cyclobenzaprine is essentially a tricyclic antidepressant (it's structure is very similar to amitryptaline). It is pretty strongly sedating, due to it's H1 antagonist properties. Subjectively, it feels similar to other anti-histamine sedatives.

It will most definitely intensify the sedative properties of the morphine. Whether or not this will improve the high you get from morphine is completely subjective. Some people think anti-histamines make opiates feel better, and some people think it actually makes it less enjoyable. I probably would agree with the latter personally, there is something inherently uncomfortable about them to me.

If you decide to try this, perhaps use a slightly lower than usual dose of morphine. 10-20mg cyclobenzaprine should be pretty sedating for most people. Taking more will doesn't really make it any better, it is definitely a "less is more" kind of drug.

I hate cyclobenzaprine..........it knocked me totally out by itself when I took it & I was drowsy when I got up, I would never recommend mixing it with anything. If you want something to mix with opiates that gives the opiate an awesome kick, I would add Soma, its the bomb but becareful when mixing muscle relaxants & opiates.
 
yea its not a good idea to mix. i dont know about the danger but cyclobenzaprine is a dirty nasty drug. it has no recreational value and it will just knock you the fuck out. so you wont enjoy your morphine high anyway. im sure it also affects the breathing process so you are looking at a dirty nasty dangerous high
 
I take flexeril as part of my PM...it isn't nearly effective as it needs to be, but it gets the job done...yes, flexeril can be a heavily sedating drug, but after being on it for 10+months...no sedation here...I just took 40mg along with 210mg DXM and 800mg gabapenting (also part of my PM) for opioid withdrawal and am still wide awake lol...
