Morphine and codeine (topping up morphine with codeine?)

Hi, I have searched around and can't find any info specific to my question. Please feel free to redirect me if it's already adressed elsewhere.

I was wondering theoretically if I took 60mg morphine orally, would it be possible for me to 'top it up' with say 100 - 150mg codeine a couple of hours later if the buzz is not satisfactory, or like with codeine is dosing again at this point in time pointless? Will the codeine taken 2 hours or so in add anything or just be wasted?

Thanks for your help.

This is pretty simple. You're just combining Opioids and there shouldn't be any appreciable difference in effect just because you're consuming them in the same sitting. You can approximate a total Morphine dose by taking a tenth of your Codeine dose. This would put you at roughly 75mg Morphine PO at the highest, which is actually a very reasonable dose for these drugs.

Thank you for your help. I was just unsure if spacing the doses out like that would render the second dose pointless as it would with redosing just codeine in this way. But you're saying it should be fine dosing the codeine this length after the morphine? I know codeine is particularly bad for redosing as far as opiates go.

I actually hadn't used swim in my original post or in my previous ones I've posted, then read another post after that used it so edited it just in case. As for the theoretically it is theoretical at this stage as I haven't tried it yet and not sure if I will. Just thought I'd get the facts first. Thanks for clearing the swim issue up though psychedstoner as I was a bit confused, swim has always seemed pointless to me anyway.
